  1. Those are WAY COOL! Are those Charlton? I'll have to look further into those... CHARLTON??? These, sir, are ATLAS books...Charlton...INDEED!
  2. Nice book Jimbo...my favorite Hawkman cover!
  3. Here is a run that is very underappreciated...WOF #18 is actually believed to be the first Kirby pre-hero monster cover..all hail XOM! First monster of the pre-hero age!
  4. Wow, I would love to have the original art for ST #85... I just love a good bathesphere cover!
  5. I really like that book....alot. Your copy is sharp. I am starting to feel myself be pulled by some of these late 50-early 60's Ditko Charltons. Collecting ADD headed my way once again....especially after the CLink auction last week. Picked up 9 books...and not a singe pre-code in the bunch! ::Using the RingMaster's hat:: Join us...join the league of "late 50-early 60's Ditko" collectors....
  6. Oh, shucks...too late to post my copy. Here it is anyway! This is a really tough in HG black cover
  7. Murphy Anderson, IMHO, one of the best DC sci-fi artists of the silver age. My favorite series of his is, of course, THE ATOMIC KNIGHTS! Those scripts by John Broome were brought to life by Murph! His later teaming with Curt Swan on those "Swanderson" issues of Superman are on par with the Kirby/Sinnott run on the FF. Here are 2 of my favorite Anderson covers: The ultimate outer-space wash-tone! Last Atomic Knights...
  8. Here are a few more books from that collection I spoke of earlier... Very glossy with bone white pages! Best copy I've ever seen!
  9. Yes! Just bought a truck load from another collector! Great stuff. Um..."truck load"? That, my friend, is an intriguing phrase! Ok, maybe "truck load" is a tad strong...Lets call it a short box. Here's the story: In the early 90s, I used to buy a lot of books from a gent who advertised regularly in the GBG classifieds. Before the days of email, he would give me a call from time to time if he has any of the items on my want lists. We collected along the same lines and would always have nice chats about 50's sci-fi books, artists, etc. Eventually he got out of selling and I have not hear from him in about 9 years. A couple of weeks ago, I get home and there is a voice mail on my machine and its him! Seems he is looking to unload some books in his private collection and still had my number. We talk for a bit and I agree to take some choice HG DCs off his hands for a fair price - some Strange Adventures, some TOTU, HOM... Overall, a nice transaction!
  10. Yes! Just bought a truck load from another collector! Great stuff.
  11. Here is another one...very Presidential!
  12. A nice gaggle of 1950's STRANGE ADVENTURES has just rolled in!
  13. Some more nice Strange Adventures from the fabulous 50s!
  14. Just got back some nice Avengers...
  15. Here is some SPACE RANGER goodness! Luv these Bob Brown covers!
  16. Nice book -- nothing better than a sea monster and frogman cover!
  17. What a great cover! Care to spill the beans on the "scientific trick" he mentions? Please don't make me buy a copy... Haven't read it yet, so you better go ahead and buy one. ...added to my VCC want list... You mean this book? I would not want to ruin the story for you when you finally get a chance to read it!
  18. Please sell this to me, I love baseball covers! What is the CGC grade? Sounds like you are a B&B Strange Sports fan as well? I'm not a big baseball fan, but I love that cover of the gorilla sliding into home!
  19. Please sell this to me, I love baseball covers! What is the CGC grade? From the River City collection (just like adamstrange's #52). I believe the boys in Sarasota gave it an 8.5, which seems about right to me. But I freed it from its tomb the very day I acquired it. Good show sir! I am all in favor of comic book liberation -- especially those River City copies, they are sooo purrdy!
  20. Here is my recent copy of #54 - first CCA issue. This is super-rare to get a hold of in decent shape. It took me quite a while of looking before I landed this one.
  21. Here are some nice SA books that have come into my possession recently:
  22. Just thought I would entertain you with a few of my favorite pre-hero covers!
  23. Howdy! Are these pence books in color? I remember seeing some issues of "CREEPY WORLDS" that reprinted Atlas (and fantasy stories by other publishers) in B&W Thanks & WTTB! Bill
  24. Nice edition of Dracula...is this a cover repo or the actual book? I have a couple editions of KONG with a nice repo cover...I have yet to see an original cover in such nice condition. Bill The dust jacket is original. The book was one of many obtained from an original owner collection which also included these Burroughs books and hundreds of pulp magazines. Nice! Is this the same source that you got your GA comics from or is this book collection from a different source?
