  1. Another new addition to my DC Sci-Fi collection. These HOM covers are so underrated, and hard as hen's teeth to find!
  2. Wonderful book ...I've been looking for that one quite a while!
  3. Thanks guys. This one came today, and it's already out of its slab Nice Meskin!
  4. Nice DC Sci-Fi haul! I love those black outerspace covers!
  5. early Ditko cover. Wonderful Kirby Jules Verne cover!
  6. TTA 31 is THE greatest Mummy cover of all time...hmmm sounds like a good theme for a thread in General...
  7. Speaking of the Edenwald collection. is Conrad still dealing? I know he had some health issues a few years back, but I have not heard from him in a while... Bill
  8. Thanks! Those darn carnivorous T-Rex's usually dominate the dino covers... its nice to see a herbivor get the spotlight once in a while!
  9. From 1955, here is a great canary yellow Dino cover.
  10. Here is another addition to my HOM collection. Great Dino cover, with a canary yellow background to boot! Bill
  11. Robur the Conqueror? I've never heard of that title. Is it any good? Robur was kind of like Capt. Nemo, but in an airship. If you are a Verne fan, its one of his better (but lesser) known works. Vincent Price played Robur when Verne films were hot in the late 50s & early 60s. Check it out! Bill
  12. Perhaps the best MAD knock-off that was actually on par with that mag was GET LOST! Here are the only 3 issues published. The team of Andru and Esposito could have made it big in the humor business..if that Gaines guy had not forced them to shut down by playing games with their distributors!
  13. I believe this is the most gruesome that a Kirby cover or story ever got. Wonderful cover...and an early Ditko story to boot! Bill
  14. Hey that sounds interesting. Any chance of posting them here?
  15. Here are some of my favorite WW Andru and Esposito covers:
  16. A new addition to my collection. I have always loved this cover.
  17. A new addition to my collection. I am very excited about this one! Could it even be a quasi-washtone? The image of the city has a very pastel sheen to it!
  18. I guess the "800 pound gorrilla" question on this thread is: Do you have any plans to sell any of the remaining books to board members or is it a Heratige exclusive? thanks!
  19. Hi, Are their any nice runs of DC Sci-Fi from 1955-1960 -- such titles as House of Mystery, Tales of the Unexpected, My Greatest Adventure, Strange Adventures, and/or House of Secrets? Thanks, Bill
  20. Quite a "plum" issue of Strange Adventures, wouldnt you say?
  21. Love the plum background of this great cover!
  22. I put in a decent bid above $1000 but couldn't keep up with the big boys. With VG books going for $500+ a $1000 would have been a steal in my book. Married covers, married centerfolds, replaced staples, touch of glue or slight color touch are the closest to an unrestored as it gets. On an otherwise impossible book in high grade it's easy to overlook and bid it up. But yeah, a blue label 9.2 would probably hit $4000 or so, similar to Little Dot 1 or Richie Rich 1 type figures. Ed Anyone know who the Big Boys are? I love Standards..they are some of the best comics of the 50s. I was tempted to throw my hat into the ring, but I resisted! Bill
