  1. They consistently under grade consignment items. I have no idea about their own stock, but I consign a lot, and nearly everything is off of CGC standards by at least a point. I've subbed 100-200 books a month for many years, and I know CGC standards pretty well. On moderns, a MCS VF is probably a CGC 9.4, and I'm not kidding. Silver age? If the book gets a grade of "fine" from MCS expect a 7.0-9.0 from CGC without a press. The people that know this buy consignment books in the 6.0-7.0 range and get books that are way better than described all. the. time.  I can't speak on their own stock because I don't buy books from them, but I've been consigning for a long time. I've gotten used to it, and I guess a lot of the repeat buyers are aware of it too because books keep selling.  MCS consignment 7.0 > Random Ebay guy's NM all day long.

Near the end of the day too. Of course, the boxes were on the floor and we know how you're laziness creeps in under those circumstances........

Truer words...I've been running out of time at Rick and Dave's pretty much every show the last year, and I doubt I even got to that particular dealer. . I'm going to need to drink some more redbull or something.

If you don't want spoilers for recent or upcoming character appearances in movies and/or TV, I don't know what you're doing reading any of the "heating up" threads. (shrug)

Agh. I see your point I guess.

I'm just anti-spoiler for the most part, and they're usually fairly avoidable. This instance it's not something that's been advertised and had until that point been something I hadn't really thought about. If Jigsaw had popped up as Jigsaw in the early episodes it wouldn't have really mattered as much. It's more that I feel like the cool twist of the character reveal is ruined now, and it's just weak sauce to me. It seems obvious now, but it would have been nice to have gotten to see it on the screen rather than have it ruined in a comic thread. It's more that a plot twist is being spoiled and less that a character making an appearance was spoiled. That's the distinction for me.  A spoiler tag would have been appropriate. It's a fairly long first season, and it hasn't been out that long, so a little consideration on that front would have been cool.

Curious to know if the owner of the piece is entitled to some compensation if it's used for a trade cover.  Does Gabs have the final say on that etc etc?  It would be cool if the owner of this piece was awarded something.

    Anyone have experience with that?

I think the owner of any commission piece is lucky as a pig in poop if said commission gets used for a cover. $$$
