It's definitely storm & Cable. That's the exact costume Storm wore in XXM and you can see Cyclops visor hanging around Cable's neck. This was just after the whole The Twelve story & he was wearing Cyclops visor around his neck in UXM in memory of his (though to be) dead dad. There's no more guessing needed there.
I cannot comment on whether it was published in any way though. Even as a house-ad or anything.
+1 I also think that if it was ever published, the best chance would be in Previews from a few months before. I do think it's unlikely that it was published though.

Unused cover from Uncanny X-men #388. Larroca art. Pictured is Storm and Cable. There was a bit of romance going on with those 2 characters at the time. I think they may have started veering away from that which may explain the cover change/change in storyline.
100% accurate. No one question me.

If it was trimmed, they would have caught it and gave it a purple label. Also an 8.2? You have to be ribbing, right?
I've always considered you to be an 8.2.

I don't remember the last time I did an update...I haven't bought much lately, but here's a few things...
1) Budd Root Spidey/MJ and a Rhino that kind of looks like a street shark
2) Adam hughes Archie #50 cover homage with Betty.
3) My favorite page from Infinity War with Drax telling Thanos he'll smash him later
4) Harley and Ivy Chiodo page
5) I figured I'd never get a better Deodato WW for the price. From issue #100 "The Death of an Amazon"
6) Invincible 87 cover
7) The first ever page with fatale by JG Jones
8) A Neal Adams Batman commission from 2000. The colors and level of detail that Neal did on this one are amazing in person. I believe it is ink and watercolor, but I'm not sure. I'll have to ask next time I see him. Sorry for the bad pic. I bought it already framed.
9) And my absolute favorite page from my favorite Marvel story ever. The Last Avengers Story. Hulk turns on the Avengers, and rips Tigra in half. "Hey Wonder Man, MAKE A WISH". Again the pic is definitely not doing this one justice. It's an amazing painting and my grail.

I'll say this, that cover was a bad move, BUT the actual book is great for what it is. It's a romance comic by Millar with awesome Dodson art. The reveal at the end is also pretty cool, and I wish it had became cannon. Did you guys actually read this book, or is it just the cover of #1 that makes you pop the claws?

MTIO 34 is a great call I had forgotten about.
ASM 121
Death of CM
FF191
The Last Avengers Story
x-Men 137 (Though to this day I want to see a What If where the Beast has an a-ha moment and calls in his Avengers buddies and Thor, Iron Man, Cap, Wondy, the Vision et al mop the floor with the imitation Legion).
And, in a good way, Avengers #4 when the cop on the street spots Cap.
+1 On the Last Avengers Story. That has to be one of the most underrated Marvel stories of all time. So many amazing moments.
Also, I don't cry, but if I did Amazing Spider-man #400 when Aunt May tells Peter that she's always known he was Spider-man right before she dies....Damn. That was about as emotional as it gets. At the time I was convinced she would stay dead (obviously folly) and it was extremely impacting. That Peter Pan moment...ugh. I'm going to have to dig that out and read it again.

Forgive me if that's already been posted here, but I just saw it. I thought it was a pretty fun fan film.

No significance outside the name. I'd be selling these asap.

Thanks for the answer Rick! I do hope he does it as I've kind of skipped things he's had up for a while that I may actually want at the right discount.
Visit the website and you'll see:NOTE: The Artist's Choice will be closed until Wednesday, December 14, 2016
So, I'd imagine a sale may start on Monday, December 19 through the end of the year if I had to speculate. A pure guess on my part, as I've not heard anything personally.
The only problem I see for repeat customers is that the website hasn't been updated with the same frequency it use to in the past, even last year's 2015 sale seemed to have the same inventory as featured in 2014, with very little added, and now in 2016, it's pretty much the same, so odds are, if you didn't find anything in 2014, there might not be much more in 2016, two years later that's been added that might be on sale... but it doesn't hurt to look and only costs you time to browse.
Hopefully the % discounts may be higher on certain artists to motivate moving inventory and selling product that's been sitting a while to rotate 'em out into the hands of collectors.

Just realized it's December. I checked the website, but there's no mention. Does anyone know for sure when/if he's doing the sale again this year?

True story alert! The crying wrestling fan used to work at my buddy's Mexican restaurant in Acworth, Ga. He was about the creepiest dude ever. He would openly talk about masturbation and other weirdness with tables, and had to be let go.
I like this discussion and where it's headed......But why not create a new thread for it....?
What thread? You really want a thread where a couple of blowhards tell you, based on their opinions & collecting interests, what variants are real and which ones aren't???
-
This is the only good thread left in CG. I didn't have any interest in this bottle/metal stuff before reading the last few pages, but now I want more

You guys should write Joe an email, as there will be a letter's page in #8. The letter's page will also divulge all of the secrets the series has been keeping, and anyone who reads it gets a 50% discount on the elevator pass you have to purchase to get into Aftershock headquarters!
-
Is it just me, or is that half a second with X-O the most exciting part??? Not to say the rest didn't look exciting, but that part at the end gave me tingles.
-
The show is awesome. I cannot stand a single DC show, but have loved all the Marvel ones with the exception of AOS.
-
Love those Byrnes, Malvin!
