  1. She could show up on the Mandalorian. There are plenty of attractive older women that could play her to be age appropriate by that time.
  2. I'm talking about the big spiral bound version. I want to see that in a slab.
  3. https://www.ebay.com/itm/x500-Uncanny-X-men-304-UPSIDE-DOWN-hologram-like-blue-error-Newsstand-8-0/154288106868?hash=item23ec49ad74:g:hc4AAOSw6P1f~JyH How about an upside down Magneto?
  4. Such a mundane sale. WHO IN THE WORLD POSTS A TURTLES 1 1ST PRINT WITH THAT IN THE TITLE??? Seriously. Bring this person to me.
  5. Got a big art deal that I need to nail some funds down for. Paypal preferred. Rat Queens cover $1500 Vampirella cover $2000 Legend of Oz cover $1500 Elvira cover $1700
  6. I thought this was a solid deal under 4k compared to other IG pages selling recently. Needed a Perez to pair with my Lim.
  7. These 2 are my favorites. I prefer the majestic slick looking mullet to the unkempt version. Clearly by the confused look of anger/arousal, Wonder Woman prefers her super mullet to be as polished as possible. My buddy Joe also draws about the best mullet Superman imaginable.
  8. I had this happen with a couple of guys. The last one I accidentally dropped the stack of books in the parking lot we were in. I told him I'd still buy most of the books at the price we had agreed on, but he passed. He was mad, but didn't do anything about it because I look really mean.
  9. 100% faded after slabbing. If it were that faded before it wouldn't have gotten a 9.8 unless it also got a green label.
  10. Yeah, the guy seems a little unhinged, but that last bit could have been easily avoided.
  11. Absolutely. Some people want to exchange texts over the span of an hour or more, and the same conversation could be had in a few minutes. Baffling. I'm cool with texting when it's just shooting the $heet or whatever, but when something needs to get done/coordinated I'll usually call.
  12. I collect baseball cards in addition to comics/art, and belong to a few card groups on FB. Recently a guy posted in one of the groups that he only needed one card to complete his set of 2018 Heritage baseball, the Ronald Acuna rookie card (they generally sell for $10-$15). It was a "Want to buy" post. Since I'm a huge Acuna/Braves fan I had bought a bunch of this particular product (about 100 boxes) chasing the variations of Acuna and some other guys. Point is, I had about 100 of the card he needed. Centering is an issue for this particular card, and probably 75 out of the 100 I have are off center. I messaged him saying "Hey, I have an extra Acuna I'll send you for free if you want it. It will be off centered, but it will complete your set". He said that would be great and wasn't concerned about centering. He just wanted to complete his set. I got his address, sent the card that week with my other shipments. Never heard a peep from the guy. I thought maybe it hadn't shown up or something, so I checked tracking on it to satisfy my curiosity and it had been delivered. This guy never sent me a message saying 'Hey thanks, got the card" nothing. It left me feeling weird about it. I just know if the situation were reversed I would have 100% sent him a thank you message. People are weird. Maybe I should send him a crazy person message similar to what the OP got. OP, once you got the refund/received the books, the first thing you should have done was thank the guy. Sometimes people just feel the need to do something nice.
  13. Got a small stack of sketch covers. The initials read simply "JR" Anyone have any clue? They're pretty decent IMO, but I'd really like to know who this guy is.. Any help greatly appreciated.
  14. Thanks! I was a little shocked when I won it. I figured it would go for 30-50% more than it hammered. I also loved Gen 13 and Danger Girl, so this checked a couple of boxes for me. Thinking I might get a print made (or buy one if he already made them) and frame together. The colors on the book cover pop.
  15. I was close on that Jim Lee X-men pg, and 2nd bidder on several other pages, but I did walk away with this cover for what I thought was a good price.
  16. Not really a big story. I bought original art for 4 Superman daily strips(from 1941!) from a friend of mine, and I bought about 600 books too. We both knew what this was, so it was factored in. You could say though that I paid nothing for it considering everything else, or you could say I paid thousands of dollars for it. I like the price I paid for the art, so I'm going to say this was free.
  17. Yeah, if the final hammer is about the same, you have no real incentive to send to Heritage. I'd definitely go Clink. What gets me with Heritage is that after the seller gets a bite out of him, the buyer gets a chunk added, then you have tax and overpriced shipping. THEN...just to stick it in one last time they have their card payment fee. I usually can't stomach it, so I pay a fee free way, but Jeebus. You start doing the math, and that extra payment fee at the end just pushes the % over the edge.
  18. We may be in the minority, but I'm with you. I spend probably 50k on any given year with C-link auctions. I rarely bid on Heritage. Also, Heritage rapes on fees on both ends. When I do bid on HA I take that into account, and I'm sure others do too. At the end of the day selling art on Clink vs Heritage isn't as lopsided as the figures suggest when you take into account the giant bite Heritage takes vs Clink's nibble.
