That's a great story and a great memory to have! The Spidey #17 I posted is one of the first Silver Age Spidey issues I got when I got back into collecting at around 20 years old. My job at the time hired temporary summer help every year, usually college students, and talking as we worked, one of those guys and I struck up a conversation about comics. He mentioned that he thought he still had a small box of them at his mom's house. I asked if he'd be interested in selling and he said he would. I asked what he wanted for them, sight unseen, and he said $20. He brought them in the next day, and it was that exact Spidey #17, FF 55 and 63, plus a few dozen unimportant Bronze Age books. I nearly dislocated my shoulder going for my wallet!!! A total win win and the only book I have left from that stash.

Some of you may have come to know that I collect a lot of foreign Marvel Comics. While that IS true, I also enjoy foreign comics that compile a random selection of Marvel stories, like the one below. Australian published and LOADED with an odd mix of MOSTLY Marvel Silver Age, with a little extra thrown in! My guess is that @KirbyJack will be LOVING this one!!!

I picked up a copy a little while ago and as soon as I get a repro cover made, I'll crack it and stack it! I know a coverless with a replica cover isn't some people's cup of tea, but some books are so rare ... ya take what you can get.

I used to own this page but sold it about 11 years ago. Once again, I no longer own this.
