  1. Thanks Rob...the general idea is just so adaptable and so fun it would have been hard to stop. Every artist I have spoken to has been excited to work on the idea. Everyone likes working on villains I guess. There are over a dozen more ideas in my head and artists to do them. Every once in a while I get an email from my art collecting friends fronting their ideas for the theme, so those are in the hopper too. This is one of the most fun things I have done in art collecting. I think it's a brilliant setup. The results speak to that as well, I think.
  2. It's kind of esoteric if you're not familiar with The Authority, but this is a page from a recent issue where the character Jenny Quantum (the spirit of the 21st century) visits a dimension where she meets all of her predecessors. Jenny Sparks, the Jenny with the union jack shirt, is one of those predecessors and I like to pick up pages that feature her when I can. The Authority is really the series that got me going back into the LCS every week instead of cherry picking and tradewaiting (partially because I got a kick out of her as a character) so it's a natural sub-quest.
  3. Won another one: this was a page I wanted when I read it, so I'm happy to have it. I'm also happy with the price.
  4. If I'd looked through Bob's listings a little closer, I would have had some reason to be prepared for all of the surprise money I've been getting this week. Apparently Bob has been populating his eBay store and listing pieces like crazy, so I've gotten unexpected money twice this week OPTIMUS PRIME- WASHINGTON/LARSEN NEW GODS- ANDREWS/LARSEN! Still one to go: GODZILLA VS. KING KONG- WASHINGTON/LARSEN
  5. Craig Rousseau rocks. As for the page I picked up, it's actually one of the better Authority Revolution pages I've seen on eBay, so I'm happy to have picked it up. Now if I could just get something from the "Jennys" issue.
  6. Nice Transmetropolitan page Rob! It's always good to see the Filthy Assistants' dirty bits... I'm happy with it. I'm happy just to get all three of them in a page, so dirty bits is just a bonus.
  7. Got this in the mail (thanks to Flying-Donut for pointing out that it was for sale) http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=131007&GSub=17971 and I won this: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=130823&GSub=7515 And that's that.

  9. As note for those who might unfamiliar with the concept, you don't need an iPod to listen or subscribe to podcasts.
  10. True, but he's already alienated so many people as it stands I can't see why he'd set any boundaries at all.
  11. I don't see why he wouldn't take a shot at Frazetta. He's never shied away from speaking about anyone else.
  12. I bought this last night for the heck of it- I'd never owned a copy before.
  13. Weird, Scoop usually shows up pretty high in searches like that and they've covered it a few times.
  14. What you seem to miss is that oftentimes with forumites, people will shop beyond their regular or current want lists and interests because of the added trust that some of us have built up over the years. Without the "I have new auctions on eBay" postings, that dynamic would disappear. Of course, with 13 posts, you probably don't have a great sense of the forum's community, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you'd miss that vibe.
  15. Could there be two? I'm 1000% positive that Metro had an 8.5 WP #1.
