  1. I want to know who just picked up the Punch Comics #12 for an 84% discount on eBay. This same comic sold for $14,400 less than a year ago.
  2. Based on the latest sale of Punch Comics #12, they are dropping at an exponential rate. Looks like further confirmation price drop are going into Golden Aged comics. Punch Comics #12, CGC 1.5 : $2,325.00 on 19 AUG 2023 Last CGC 1.5 sold for $14,400 in SEP 2022 : 84% drop in price
  3. Where is that friend who stands over you and says, "Stop! You've burnt the business down and now your pouring gasoline on yourself."
  4. CG, I follow Bry and he consistently acknowledges mistakes (financial and grading), provides a collector and investor perspective, and reminds viewers that these are his opinions. With respect to the board's existence, I think he was having some fun on someone's behalf. I've been following him for over 2 years and back in those days, we discussed this board.
  5. I enjoy watching Bry. Cannot wait to see the outcome. It's a business and as such, wants to maximize income. I wish him the best.
  6. Hee Haw #1 - Please build a shrine and prominently display this comic. That is unless you're married and you want a divorce.
  7. I have a 4.0 (detached cover) that is not as clean as your comic.
  8. I'm imagining the colors would really pop with a Cleaning
  9. FYI - I cannot see the cut. Recommend capturing additional photos.
  10. Wow, production chip. Always learning something new on this site.
  11. An even more valid point with the recent discussion on scammers removing comics and attempting to sell color copies. Grading notes would add another level of assurance.
  12. Update: @CGC Mike Thank you so much for your assistance. CGC took very good care of me. This matter is resolved.
  13. I own and have come across high graded comics which I would describe as pulled staples. However, when I sent the comics in for grading, they came back without any references to the staples. In one instance, I sent the comics back because I thought they were damaged in transit. The feedback I received was, "the slightly offset staple were printed that way." I was very happy to receive that news. I've attached pictures of a comic (not owned by me) that best captures what I see in some of my slabbed comics. I guess I haven't seen, or avoided, enough comics to determine what is slightly offset due to wear vs printed that way. Now there's a whole new variable added to my calculations. The enclosed photos are of a CGC 9.6. Several of the comics from my personal selection vary from 6.0 to 9.4 range. Again, with no mention of staple offset.
  14. I remember this comic. I tried to buy it from the seller via the Exchange in 2021. I placed a bid of $8,200 and it had a Buy-It-Now for $12,000. While I waited for a response from the seller, they raised the price to $18,000.
  15. What does the asterisk in front of the price indicate?
  16. I agree. However, you'll find several distinct camps on this forum who strongly believe one way to the other.
  17. Yes I do and Mike has them now. So thankful Mike is on this forum.
  18. https://boards.cgccomics.com/profile/104376-cgc-mike/ @CGC Mike Not sure if I added the link to Mike correctly. I just received Thor #127 back from CGC: Grade 7.0. The grader's note indicate (1) Light cover tanning (2) Light creasing to cover (3) Moderate spine stress lines to cover (4) Moderate staining to cover Here are the items I found: (5) Pulled staples (6) Ripped back page (7) Stain, indent, and wear on back cover Please advise on how to proceed.
  19. Sounds about right. They received mine on 11 JAN 2022.
  20. It's been 294 days since I CGC received my Economy submission. The date is based on workdays (excludes holidays and weekends). What's a reasonable amount of time before reaching out to request a status?
