  1. Please post your buying and selling feedback involving myself in here please.
  2. Made my last visit to a big local flea market yesterday before we head to Oklahoma this coming Thursday. Got some nice stuff for not much money: A nice Cindy Smith #40 (Timely, last issue) and a Hellboy Corpse A pair of Hulk Hands in the original packaging for $3.00 A variety of super-hero related toys: Two Sports Illustrateds for $1.00 each. I used to love watching Michael Johnson run. It was like it was effortless for him with that straight-up stance. And the Mark McGwire cover brought back memories of when he hit his 62nd home run against the Cubs and Mark Trachsel. A bit tainted since then, but hey for a buck..... And last but not least, 3 Whitman comics with the white logo all in really nice condition. I didn't know that Shadow Play #1 even existed.
  3. Geesh...it's almost like an epidemic any more. WAY too many people not consumating their deals properly.
  4. I seventh that motion. I've had successful transactions with comicseekers in the past, but I do know that there have been board transaction problems with him at least 3 or 4 times. Definite Hall of Shame material.
  5. Seriously nice books dude, you rule.
  6. Well, it looks like we're FINALLY going to get to move to the Oklahoma City area later this month. We should have a signed 12-month lease on our house by this weekend and plan to get out of Illinois in about 3 weeks or so. We're going to have various expenses involved with the move, and I promised my wife I'd do whatever it takes to obtain those funds. So I'm going to start an extensive sales thread this weekend so I can get totally frustrated again with not selling anything in here before moving everything to eBay. All kidding aside, I will be offering a lot of books that I had no plan to sell at the present time. But the situation dictates that I sell a bunch of books, so that's exactly what I'm going to do. Hope to start either tomorrow or Saturday. (thumbs u Any requests? Check out my registry and see if there's anything in there that you're interested in. All Spidey slabs are off-limits as are most of the mainstream Marvel books. But I could probably be swayed on most of the other books in there.
  7. A big thanks goes out to MLMeade for a nice copy of Journey Into Mystery #89. Now only need #83 for the full Thor JIM #83-125 run. Thanks Michael! (thumbs u
  8. Way to go Wes. Sometimes you DO get lucky on eBay.
  9. Last I checked this is a free country. There will always be comments posted to this thread, just for the halibut. You might tuna fish, but you can never tune a message board. can it tuna face The raging hormones again. Oh great. Here we go again......
  10. He only started following through once: 1) He was placed in the HOS. 2) His poor girlfriend had to kick him in the arse to get him to follow through on honoring his transaction. Please don't assume he is doing this out of the goodness of his heart. That went away over a month ago when he should have resolved this entire situation. And he has STILL not resolved all the outstanding transactions. PLUS he promised to make good once, didn't follow through with that and time went by before he promised to make good AGAIN. And like Nick said only 1 or 2 boardies have gotten their books from him. He deserves to be in the HOS.
  11. He definitely needs to go on the list.
  12. Also, big kudos to Bio-Rupp for the quick and safe shipment of 3 Secret Invasion #1's with the blank cover. Thanks Michael! That's one cute pup you've got there. (thumbs u
  13. Big kudos to electricprune for the quick and safe (double boxed) shipment of 3 Marvel slabs. Thanks again Wes!
  14. Did someone do something wrong that you are punishing us like that?
  15. Yeah, I've got to agree with you. That alternate cover is MUCH better than the one actually used. (thumbs u What the hell were they thinking?
  16. And thanks to you Art for making this transaction as seamless as it could possibly get! Thanks again! (thumbs u
  17. So has anyone received what they purchased ? Ive only got an unread pm Forget it, he's a deadbeat. He is on the probation list where he belongs. What gets me is he spent a lot of time smearing 2 other boardies before he did this. I will take my lumps for not seeing he was a potential problem. It's understanding that people run into problems once in a while. That much can be forgiven. But to not ship books originally, come on here and say he'll take care of everything and then turn around and not ship the books again is truly unforgivable.
  18. And your point is??? Mad #1 is the first MAD comic. Mad #24 is the first MAD magazine (which is exactly what I stated).
  19. Cool collection photo! So a few questions -- did you consciously decide not to collect Mads #1 through #43? Too expensive? Just curious. I had a similar plan early on, but then I found a great Craigslist lot deal on the early issues and couldn't pass it up. That's great you have the first Britain and Quebec issue. I hadn't seen the Quebec one before. By the way, anybody here can look up the foreign issues at a site called http://collectmad.com/. I just found out about it the other day and love it! Some of the foreign Mad covers are really cool, with alternative-reality Alfred E. Neuman paintings. 1-43 are next. That's the expensive stuff. 1st MAD magazine
  20. Guess I'll have to frequent more of FT's sales threads.
