  1. Even though I'm a big Marvel collector, I've always wanted a copy of that book. Someday....someday.....
  2. Big kudos go out to THE_BEYONDER for a great deal on a Spidey Super Stories #1 SS signed by John Romita. Thanks again Chris!
  3. that 5guys burgers is pretty good too...yum 5guys burgers are last meal worthy (thumbs u The news did a piece on them the other night. One 5 guys burger has the same # of calories as 2 quarter pounders from McDonalds. Wonder if that includes mayo and other toppings? I'm happy with just the burger, cheese, pickle, lettuce, raw onion and ketchup. I may need to go there for lunch today now... Raw oninon?? I'd rather have a nail driven into my eye than eat raw onion! Raw onion is "da bomb". I put it on sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs and in salads. +1 It makes my home-made mustard potato salad even better!
  4. I wouldn't consider it an official offer but more like a question. Now, if he/she had said in addition to that something like "If so, I'll take it." then THAT is an official offer. I often question sellers if they'll take a certain amount for an item but also state that if they agree to that price. But once you said yes to that $100 asking price and they turned around and tried to get it even lower, now that's just downright wrong! I agree with shark it is still more of a question...and I agree with his second part as well...and I agree with the third part as well... And I say out the bas tid... We've been on a drama-drought the last couple of weeks... not the first time this topic has come up my question is Why the HECK are people asking a seller if he will accept X amount unless it is an offer? A very valid point. Personally, I wouldn't state something like that unless it WAS an official offer. But some people might just be seeing how low the seller will go. I don't think that's right (I know I wouldn't do it), but who's to say what the motives of the questioner are? Some people's heads are just not in the right place.

  6. Here's the pics of the comic spinner rack I picked up last night. Got 'er cleaned up this morning and she looks nice! I think there's a total of 72 slots for raw comics, 3 "Hot Picks" bins and 5 plastic bins for Archie Comics Digests. 4 of the 5 small plastic bins say "Archie Digests" on them and the 5th one says "Harvey Comics". I didn't know Harvey printed any comics digests. Does anybody know where I might get 5 more of the comics digest bins? I have room for a total of 10 but only 5 came with the spinner rack.
  7. And a few of the better books from the 2nd CGC box....
  8. 2 CGC boxes received yesterday. First, a small batch of Signature Series books (all signed by Gary Friedrich at C2E2) .....
  9. No, but I sure wish I had known about it.
  10. I picked up a nice comic spinner rack tonight. It needs to be cleaned up first so I'll take pics tomorrow and post them here. (thumbs u
  11. Big kudos to phil50 for a couple of sweet pre-hero Tales to Astonish (#20 and 22). Thanks Phil! (thumbs u
  12. I, for one, think this is an absolutely wonderful idea. It gives us all a place to go to view any of the comics which have been stolen and have been reported to the website. You can never have too much information. (thumbs u
  13. I need to start saving my money NOW! Notice I left only the Marvel stuff on the list.
  14. And here I was this morning thinking how Nick never sells anything....that he only buys.
  15. I think I need to hang out where you are hanging. Somewhere in the midwest? In the Rockford, Illinois area. I've been able to come up with a lot of good comic finds over the last few years by going to garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, auctions and antique malls. For me, the key is constantly being on the lookout for comics via newspaper classified ads, newspaper websites, auction websites and so on. Maybe I should change my mind and stay in this area. Naaaaah.....ain't gonna happen! I'd be crazy to stay here!
  16. One more double cover slab arrived today. I think I have about 8 or 9 slabbed double cover issues now.
  17. Picked these up at another local garage sale earlier today:
  18. Got these in yesterday: Mark Waid sigs on the ASM #601 & 623, Garth Ennis sigs on Preacher 1, 2 & 3 and a Jim Lee sig on the X-Men #248. (thumbs u
  19. Big Kudos To Dollarbill for a nice batch of the first 8 ASM Marvel Essentials TPB's. Thanks Rich!
  20. Big kudos back to you Chris for a seamless transaction!
  21. Very nice find on the New Mutants #98. (thumbs u I also made a nice haul today at a local garage sale. I got the following 163 DC books, almost all in 9.4 to 9.8 condition, for a grand total of $400: 66 Batman comics between issues 340 and 436 69 Detective Comics between issues 504 and 578 26 Justice League comics between issues 150 and 209 Supergirl 1 Wonder Woman 242 I got these from the same guy I got a bunch of Batmans from that I sold earlier this year. Almost all of them ended up CGC 9.6's or 9.8's.
