  1. Yeah...that's a decent price. A Swamp Thing #9 CGC 9.0 signed by Bernie just sold for $100 in March 2012.
  2. Mike, I promise once I reviewed his unpublished list he sent last night and bought some of what I am hunting for, you can have at him. There is plenty to go around.
  3. Hulks got no troosers on. Batman chewed 'em off. Or was it Robin?
  4. Yeah Nick. It's rather rare nowadays when someone actually says or does what they say they're going to do. And what's that new eBay seller's name?
  5. It's very nice of you to hold this for me until I can afford to buy it from you.
  6. I went to a local flea market yesterday (the same one where I found the old grey tone Our Army at Wars, the Green Lantern #1 and the 6 old Showcases last month). Yesterday's finds were mild compared to last month but still not too bad. My brother and I went down the 1st aisle (one big indoor building) and I found an ASM #18 and #32 that I got for a good price. They're currently for sale in my VCC booth. But the best find of the day I didn't really know about until I got home. Another vendor in the last aisle had a few comics and magazines and I saw a Nexus magazine #1 in there. I thought I remembered someone on the boards here looking for one of these so I grabbed it along with a Hook magazine #1 by Marvel. I didn't realize until after I got home that I might have something special. When I opened the Nexus #1 up, there were 3 signatures at the bottom of the inside front cover along with a "324/500". After contacting a board member and looking it up in Overstreet, that's when I realized I had just purchased a Limited Edition Nexus #1 signed by Mike Baron, Steve Rude and Paul Gulacy. It also came with a separate pencil sketch by Steve Rude. The best part of all? I paid a buck for it. I gotta hit flea markets more often!
  7. Joey was great to work with and paid quickly for one of my Showcase slabs. Thanks again!
  8. Found my 4th rare Whitman at the Dallas Comicon last month. Appears to be in about VF/NM condition. Got it for a buck.
  9. ASM #1? A double cover comic? 50 copies of X-Force #1? I bought all of the Marvel and DCs from this box. About 72 books total. Here are some highlights. Holy Stromboli Batman! Great find!

  11. And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.
  12. Here's my copy (front and back). I'll eventually send it in for grading also. Ignore all of the specks and streaks. They were on the scanner. I have a nice clean copy too. (thumbs u It's actually a price guide for Playboy issues from 1953-1982 (similar to Overstreet) and other Playboy related publications and items. The inside has no pictures - it's all text.
  13. Just curious. When you submitted this were you able to submit as a Modern comic? 1983 - it would certainly qualify for the Modern tier  I was just wondering because of its size. It's wider than a modern comic but a lot shorter in height. Thought you might have to submit it as a mag instead.

  15. Sounds like I better send my nice copy in right away.
