  1. Sub Mariner Comics #32 CGC 5.5 OW This one hurts to let go....but go it must. Yes, this has got to be one of the sharpest looking 5.5's you'll find. Absolutely classic Everett cover and not an easy book to find. The Church 8.5 sold for $23k a couple months ago, and clearly this isn't that...but then again, I'm asking $20k less. It even has a nice March 18, 1949 date stamp on the back. $3200
  2. Hi all - usual rules on these books. No bids from HOSers or Probies. Prices include USPS Priority shipping in the US. International would pay the difference. I'll accept returns if something has been materially misrepresented. PayPal is accepted. Selling more books to pay some bills - not thrilled about parting with either of these. Let me know if you have any questions or would like more info or pics. The Thing! 15 CGC 6.0 WHITE pages There's a crack in the bottom corner of the case that I just noticed when I took it out for scanning. Case is still structurally sound and it doesn't affect the book. Classic Ditko worm cover $685 $635
  3. um......wow? detached cover, tan pages.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Mysteries-32-Marvel-May-1949-034-The-Isle-of-No-Return-034-/302196369249?_trkparms=gh1g%3DI302196369249.N36.S2.R1.TR1&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&autorefresh=true&nma=true&si=FOJt2fRwDZyENxjvsB5hdmiGZZ0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  4. I've got an Archie 5 needing a CF if anyone can help.
  5. Sold Adam a nice JIM 85 and payment was prompt and communication was excellent. Would deal with again.
  6. Finally arrived and unpacked..... Not sure what's keeping it at 7.5 frankly. But so very happy.
  7. This is my placeholder until someone sells me a file copy. For the LARGE amount of money I'm willing to spend on it.
  8. Great book! Still surprised that after all this time they still don't designate this as a classic cover! I've always thought that Harvey horror books don't seem to be revered in the same way as other PCH, or taken as seriously by the powers that be. Just a thought. Maybe because there are a lot of file copies out there. They aren't really rare. Great covers and contents though. I love 'em! Also love your exploding sig line. Not many here would post coverless in theirs. I love 'em all from coverless to file copies! Well if there are a lot of file copies out there then I'm looking in the wrong places. I've been posting on the WTB thread and scouring sites for a nice COC 23 for a while and haven't found anything. You know, if you want a ToT 15, there's plenty out there for sale, and a pretty good amount of WT25 and BCM50. CoC23 just does not come up for sale. Not in grade, but at all. I have the Bethlehem copy and I've been trying to upgrade it with a file copy for a decade now. I'm afraid to say this before I acquire a nice copy but I think the price on this one is the issue. It doesn't sell for the multiples the other classic issues do. When it's recognized for it's awesomeness and the price starts to jump, copies in all grades will start to come out of the woodwork. Would love to see a scan of the Bethlehem...

  10. Are the .5 price points about halfway between those numbers or not so much. It really jumps from 5.0 to 6.0 to 7.0. Very interested to see how prices react to movie release.
  11. And I should add since it's kind of fun...my dad handed me his comics from the 40's and 50's about 10 years ago. I set off to sell them and wouldn't ya know I got the fever. Of all the books in this pic, only one was my dad's originally. But it's my favorite and will go to the grave with me. my grandma sold my dads old GI joes and original 70's fender stratocaster What book is the one he gave you? That's too easy. As a hint, I tried to sell it for $1000 about 8 years ago right here on the boards and couldn't make it happen.

  13. Thanks all. The guy selling seems like a pretty decent guy. Bummer he had to sell of so many nice books.
  14. Pickups from the ebay runs...the Weird Mysteries 12 is pretty sharp.
  15. I messaged the seller and turns out all books are raw. Some were cracked out and he includes the label. I told him they were advertised as slabbed and he said cgc would reholder them. I told him that was incorrect that they'll simply regrade them. Anyhow, just so people know.
