  1. Yeah, but there's no way of knowing whether or not people are buying with cash or with credit, or if they're buying and then having to dump a bunch of material to pay for it.
  2. Posted in the other thread but they belong here.
  3. Indulging my new found appreciation for low grade books.
  4. Now that is one purdy book my friend. Just one more game to go buddy!!!!
  5. AFA lead times. CGC lead times. Does on-time delivery mean anything to anyone anymore?
  6. Well get off your lazy can and go check it out. If you don't sell 'em to me I can at least tell you how much they're worth. While reasonably valued compared to some of our other interests, single pieces have been hitting the $150-$300 mark in recent weeks. Might be enough there to get you some new books........or maybe a couple of really nice lap dances.
  7. With which part? The hoarding? Or the fact that I have a collection of dolls? Or both?
  8. Well, after the disappointment of losing out on 2 figures I really needed, a Bronco and a black Chicago Bear, which went for nearly $200 and $300 respectively ( $$ IMO), I was feeling blue and decided to cheer myself up with some new group shots. Enjoy.
  9. Sitting in my office today when the mailman dropped this off. I had an immediate case of the Cracky McCrackersons so it is now freed from it's tomb.
  10. One of the few Wings books I have always wanted.
  11. Isn't there a thread for this kind of stuff
  12. Went in on this lot with a fellow collector friend of mine down in Texas. Biggest lot we've scored, 17 figures in total including another grail for me, a black Cleveland Brown. We'll end up chopping the lot but I'm still going to be able to pick up some much needed pieces to complete the collection.
  13. Been picking up some Joe pieces lately...and having fun doing so.
  14. Got this in the mail yesterday. Box has some issues but the figure is minty fresh.
  15. Thanks Shadow. Loved your JLA piece by the way. One of the nicest pieces I've seen anyone on here do. I used to love drawing as a kid and in high school. I sort of quit after my kids were born. At 35 I feel like the art ship may have sailed for me. Maybe when my kids are older and I have more free time I will get back into it more. This was just something for my daughter. Oh yeah, before I forget. I asked my daughter how sharing day went. She said all the boys in the class (these are 7 year olds) thought it was awesome and all the girls were . Oh well, she liked it so that was good enough for me.
  16. So I haven't picked up a pencil in years but yesterday my 7 year old daughter says "daddy, can you draw me some superheroes? I signed up for sharing day at school and I want to take in a drawing....but I want you to do it." She decided she wanted Bats and Joker. Not having drawn in forever I grabbed a couple of old Batman books, found a couple of Jim Lee panels I liked and cobbled them together into this scene with some artistic license on the shading (I never did learn how to shade properly). Just a number 2 pencil on 14x17 sheet. I got tired around midnight and decided to not to put in any background filler. By the time I was done I remembered why I don't draw anymore. Too time consuming. Joker looks like krapola. Product of fatigue and laziness by the time I was wrapping it up I suppose. Oh well.
  17. Okajima, Hitler cover and Schomburg robot. Now that's some serious WINNAGE. Well done.
  18. Nice pad, even though you choose to root for that krappy hockey team of yours.
  19. Those are sweet! I'm a vintage Star Wars slappy though so I think everything is sweet.
  20. Here you go, front and back of an Action Team Mates playbook from 1977. Not much of a playbook but it was something easy to package with the figures I suppose.
