  1. A definite grail piece. Only boxed Patriot I have ever seen and now it's mine. BWAHAHAHAHA!
  2. I'm about halfway through all of these currently. If I'm not reading something that's just so good I can't put it down (like Krakauer's Into Thin Air as someone mentioned a few pages back) I find myself slogging through multiple books simultaneously to avoid getting bored with any particular book.
  3. I fully intend to buy myself a sweet book as an early xmas present and send it in this month. By the time I get it back it'll be xmas. Win-win.
  4. Just wrapped up a deal today for these. Although Cowboys figures are arguably the easiest to find (along with Steelers), finding them boxed is one thing, finding them on blister cards is damn near impossible. The fact that one of them is the African American version is just icing on the cake of rarity.
  5. Well, after some lighter but purely entertaining and awesome fare with the Hunger Games. I'm going to move on to something a little more "real" and start this tonight:
  6. Borrowed my wife's car yesterday and noticed a book sitting in between the seats. It was The Hunger Games. Now i've seen something about this being a movie but not sure what it was about. Anyway, I cracked it open before bed last night and couldn't put it down. Just finished it up a few minutes ago. I really enjoyed it. And apparently its for like teenagers I guess.
  7. That's great, good for you. What a nice book. (thumbs u
  8. Wow b. that's sweet. I don't collect Silver but out of curiosity, and b/c i'm too lazy to look it up for myself, what's a 9.4, nice PQ Avengers 4 fetch these days?
  9. I may try to find a small, leather glove to partially fit over one hand.
  10. I like to remember the Juice from his pre psycho-killer days.
  11. The collection groweth. Happy to add more of the black figures as they're very rare.
  12. Dang Mike, that is just plain wrong. Karma's a beotch and whoever this dooshnoozle is, it'll come back around eventually.
  13. Was able to score some new figures for the collection including a near impossible to find black version Jets player. I guess these will have to do since I can't afford any of the nice Atlantic City books in the comic connect auction.
  14. Probably. I'm toying with the idea of putting numbers on my figures that don't have them or changing the numbers on the ones that do. If I change the Eagles figure, it'll probably go to either Chuck Bednarik #60 or Jurgensen #9 or Van Buren #15 as i've got the decals for those.
  15. Seller did have a Rams player. It ended up selling for $50 + shipping, so not terribly expensive. (thumbs u
  16. Voltron was great. Sadly I never got around to having the Lion set but I remember my mom finding the other set Voltron 2 maybe?? with all the cars and odd shaped vehicles at a Big Lots of all places. That lasted pretty long until I started losing pieces. I think I hawked it on ebay but can't remember.
  17. FINALLY!!!! After 25 years I have acquired a Cleveland Browns Action Team Mate. I'm so juiced about this. You rarely see these for sale outside of the same handful that are always on ebay (typically Steelers and Cowboys). Then this past week a bunch showed up. Apparently seller's uncle passed away and he inherited these, which were in a storage locker. Amazingly, he had 23 of the original 28 teams and almost all were in really great shape. I missed out on getting more but I made sure to get the one I wanted. And to top it off I scored a boxed Atlanta Falcons figure from another seller for 1/2 of what the loose figure went for. 2 figures down, just 54 more to go counting the African American versions.
  18. Anyone with hockey cards in their collection is the bomb. (thumbs u
  19. Congrats! Wow. I'm no expert on grading or pressing, just curious how it could still be a 9.6. That looks pretty bad. Happy for you though, just curious.
  20. Here are some other 80's toys I remember playing with. Spinjas: You'd stick these in the little wind up shooters and fire them out, I remember they spun really fast. The object was for one of them to knock the other off of the battle area that doubled as a carrying case. Sky Commanders: You'd string these contraptions up all over your room or whatever, kind of like zip lines for toys. As I recall they were a pain in the arse, always getting tangled and taking too much time to set up or hand wind the chords back up.
