  1. I was checking the registry sets. Ghost Town has a 9.4 as well and there is a 3rd member who has a 9.6 in his/her reg. set. If 9.4 could fetch 100k, I wonder what that would make the 9.6 value?
  2. Thank You! And yes you can get the grader's notes. You just have to call them and give them the bar code number. It's free and a nice service.
  3. August has been a good month for me as I have been able to add 8 more books to my 9.0/9.2 run of .12 cent issues. Here are the 3 newest ones
  4. Was at Metropolis a few days ago. Saw at least 7 or 8 Showcase #22s. Not sure if they are on their site. No surprise since they did an email blast to customers trying to buy up 22s. Sure they will be setting up at whatever show and in auctions with a zillion 22s, as they often do with the hot key of the moment... Apologies if this has been mentioned already but I just checked Metro's site and they have a CGC 8.0 with OW pages listed. Of course it is listed as "Not Yet Processed". Wonder how much they'll be asking for it. Something just South of the moon is my guess.
  5. Video footage would kick azz! As for the enjoyment factor, I was just rearranging my slabbed Avenger collection and thinking to myself "holy $%it!, this is cumbersome and somewhat annoying to move about." To crack or not to crack.......
  6. so start cracking Share Bear I wanna see some interior pics of this one:
  7. Thanks to all. It takes ballz of steel, a butter knife, and a very sharp pair of Wusthof scissors (the BEST German cutlery in the world). fixed that for ya
  8. Thanks to Rick for the speeeedy service and the opportunity to own this GEM. Anyone wanting to do biz with Rick will have no problema. He's fast, knowledgeable, fair, honest, and ships ultra fast. Enjoy the scans of a 50 year old rare event! Well done!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!! Bone white pages!!! Congrats!!! Over five digits??? You cracked that out? I have nothing against people cracking out books but I think I would have a heart attack even considering doing so on a book like that. I'd be too nervous to handle it. Still, well done sir.
  9. Out of curiosity what do you mean by this? Do you mean you're actively shopping the book around or do you mean you've been receiving unsolicited requests to broker a deal for you? I'm just curious as this is the best copy I have seen floating around and was wondering how much interest its garnering since you posted it. FWIW I would go with CLink. Sure, they will have more of the better books. But aside from the always present AF15's, they'd be hard pressed to find a better condition, hotter key book than this one right now for one of their Focused Auctions. Not saying CConnect wouldn't do a good job but my gut says CLink. Of course my gut has been known to have for brains. (thumbs u
  10. Wow! Great book. And holy cow on that Clink auction. Huge prices for HG Avengers. Just another example of why I can only afford to put this run together in 9.0.......and barely at that. You don't have an undercopy for sale, do you?
  11. Just put up my Wow Comics #12, CGC 9.0 Crowley copy on the bay. Will work out a lesser price for any board member who is interested. Feel free to PM me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270444384372
  12. Major kudos to CaptainOfIndustry for a sweet Avengers 25. (thumbs u
  13. Ebay pickup. Nothing special but another piece to the puzzle. and big thanks to CaptianOfIndustry for this one. Arrived today safe and sound.
  14. He's a scrawny little punk who simply has awful parents. When I was 16 I got mixed up with some real nutjobs. The kind of guys that were psycho. That would flip their cars racing, that would buy blowguns and do drive byes on people carrying groceries and the like. Total pyschos that all ended up in jail or dead. Connor is nothing like those guys. They were truly f-ed up. Connor is just a spoiled, little turd and eventually he's going to swallow some of his own teeth when somebody caves his face in. Not a pleasant thought but that's what happens to punks.
  15. Not sure if this has been mentioned but in the TV show Chuck, sometimes you'll see Chuck laying in bed reading some moderns. Can't remember which ones though. Maybe Y the last man? And they are turning or have already turned Chuck into it's own comic thru WildStorm I think.
  16. Yes, you did. But you forgot to mention with whoop-butt mustard. Good, old fashioned justice served on a platter.
  17. "Don't worry scrote. There are plenty of 'tards out there living really kick @$$ lives. My first wife was 'tarded. She's a pilot now." one of the many great lines from Idiocracy.
  18. That little p-rick. Shocker that parents didn't do anything. Explains alot about his behavior. I've never dealt with this child, Connor and never will. But can this story really be true? I believe the part about Steve hooking the kid up and helping him out. But really, he got ahold of Steve's phone and phuked with it? I don't know how everyone else was raised but where I came from......a person like Connor more than likely wouldn't stop behaving improperly until he had a thorough beat down. I'm not advocating violence but eventually, one day he's going to mess with the wrong person, somebody who won't find any humor in what he's doing, and he's going to get filled in with a knuckle sandwich and deservedly so. (did I really just say knuckle sandwich? Man I am getting old) What a little geek. And I mean that in a negative way.
  19. WOW! Great book Dino. Never seen that before. Will need to add to my GGA wantlist.
  20. Big THANKS go out to Nik for hooking me up with sweet copies of Avengers 15 & 20. (thumbs u
