The price gains of the last ten years are nothing...nothing...compared to the price gains of the 70s

The market I feel, is different now. There appears to be a feeding frenzy for modern / signature / variant slabbed books which has created a bubble. On the back of that bubble, sellers seem to think that any old back issue can be sold at an inflated price. The feeding frenzy has also pushed key book prices into the stratosphere. It's never felt (to me) more like the 90's all over again. There has to be a correction, but whether that's a crash or a soft landing is anybody's guess. Surely there were far fewer key/hot books in the 70's compared with now?

What impact does this miswrap have on desirability do you think? If you were on the hunt for a first Punisher appearance, is this a book you would walk past and wait for a better centred copy of? Or would you happily have it in your collection?

If it sat next to a 9.4WP perfectly centered copy, how big a price difference would compel you to dive in?

Nice book. I actually find white margins or diagonal miss-wraps to be worse regarding eye appeal. I would happily have that book in my collection with a 10-15% adjustment against a perfectly centred book.

Irrational fear of losing items in the mail along with not wanting to wait months to get it back are keeping me from pulling the trigger on the Re-Slab

.....last time I got books re-holdered, they came back in a fortnight and that was to the UK.

The Marvel UK weeklies messed up the distribution of US comics, something along the lines of, for example, while Spider-Man was being reprinted, distribution of new US material over here would cease.  It was a frustrating time.

FP  was a great shop in the late seventies.

I loved the Ditko run in Spider-man Weekly, however the disappointment was palpable when I discovered that the 'free spider-man mask' in issue 1 was in fact a neatly folded paper bag!
