  1. If it follows the typical acquisition model, here's what'll happen: 1) Marvel will state that they are happy and proud of what they are getting and just how historic DC has been for the industry 2) Two months later they announce that 90% of the DC comics will be dropped in an effort to gain "synergy" with the New Marvel 3) In the 3rd month, only Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman remain as title characters while the rest are relegated to team up appearances. 4) Month 4 sees every former DC character being in a Venom/Carnage related storyline with 52 different variants. Yeah, this has all the earmarks of a truly disastrous outcome...not for DC but for Marvel. Who would want that DC stink on them?

  4. I think the back cover kills the grade. It's happened to me.
  5. This one bellow was graded March 2021 and does not have the watermark. I checked another newer slab that was graded November 2019 and it also does not have the watermark.
  6. The watermark stands out clearly under black light. I also did a modern slab and it does not have a water mark in the grade box. I wonder if they changed it since the label can't be changed without visible damage on the current slabs.
  7. How about going with the same newspaper theme and adding the one that Peter Parker works for:
  8. @HOTFLIPS You've typically been pretty responsive. I placed an order back on April 19 for some Gerber bags and boards - still shows that my order is processing - are you out of stock or something. Sent a message through the site a couple of weeks ago and tried calling just now and got VM. Anyone home? Hello? Buehler? Buehler?
  9. Now I see it. I'm amazed that a kid wouldn't have just pulled it out or bent the pages and broken the black color on the cover.
  10. https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fdefault.asp%3FFocused%3D1%26pg%3D4%23Item_1478111&id=1478111&itemType=0#detail In the current CLink auction there's a GLOD MTU #1 9.0. The notation is MANUFACTURED WITH STAPLES MISPLACED, AFFECTS STORY. I had never seen that before and I wonder how staple placement would affect the story. Anyone here own this book?
  11. Don't limit yourself to ebay, I recently found some below FMV slabs from MyComicShop. I was also surprise that the listing in question wasn't linked on the GPA Live Listings, so it may have been too recent or missed altogether. Either way, there's diamonds to be found in the wild all the time, but it takes patience, strategy and lots of luck.

    What?

It's the same pattern as Pam Dawber's crotch.

    What?

That is one sketchy listing...pictures of the slab in its original state and then in its current state. That poor slab has been through the wringer...it must have had at least two or three Handle With Care stickers on that box.

    What?

It's a Dylan special all over again.
  15. Go to the GCD....there's 8920 matches to choose from in the US published books from Roy Thomas. https://www.comics.org/searchNew/?q=roy+thomas&selected_facets=facet_model_name_exact:story&selected_facets=country_exact:United States
  16. This was a blast from the past...
  17. The only reason to sell that JIM 83 is to get a set of sweet rims. It's a well established rite of passage on these boards.
