I recently had a private garage sale with a longtime collector friend that I haven’t seen in almost 18 months. Needless to say, I was gleeful to add these cool books to my collection!

I've never been able to resist Captain Futures, and titles like The Avenger and Golden Fleece are almost as irresistible.

If you like toy trains, vintage bicycles, erector sets, etc., check out vintage American Boy or the Open Road For Boys magazines - the ads are pure magic.

How often do SC 4’s show up on the boards- never! This is one magnificent book, as @bb8 put it. You have many drooling on this 4th of July. I hope it finds a good home here!

Those pages look very nice btw!

Was thinking the exact same thing. Want a 181, AF 15, GSX, ASM 1, early MMC or ‘Tec? No problem. But a Showcase 4? Good luck! Awesome book (thumbsu

If there's a way to nickel and dime, I'm sure they'll find it. I remember when RuneScape, old browser game, was bought out by an investment company. Nightmare. I'm not necessarily against one company buying out another but companies like that go hard for every cent.

% of each sale done through the boards…(ie a marketplace)

Does he have a rep for buying businesses and ruining them?  Honestly I don't know, but I doubt  it.

Purely guessing here, but I'm thinking those guy's interest would be more in turning CGC into a legitimate competitor to PSA for sports card type stuff.  They'll probably be happy to just leave the comic book side alone as CGC already has about a 100% market share anyway.

Not sure about the biz side. My comment was re: yours and the value of an internet bulletin board to them, as the new co., moves forward and evaluates value.

Dunno why all the panic about the boards being taken away.  Hard to imagine a company that wants to increase CGCs digital presence would nuke the very forums that create and drive so much of the market and hype.

Let’s hope Jay-Z and the NBA elite see it that way.
