  1. Just completed a smooth transaction with Andrew, and I have to say I would welcome the opportunity of dealing with him anytime. Good people and one cool boardie! Thanks!
  2. Got this from a board member, back from CGC last week. Very happy with the results.
  3. In fairness, as i criticized the 1st installment, the 2nd one was definitely better That said, I just don't get the lack of seriousness from Coulter. But humor does seem to be one of the shows goals, as evidenced by Samuel Jackson beating-up on Counter for wrecking the family bus. Better, not great At one point I thought - in a duel against the Arrow cast members these SHIELD guys would be creamed - except maybe the one they call the Calvary . . . she's pretty cool.
  4. Plenty Seriously?! I'm buying all issues and paying a premium for Christian Bach covers. Not really, that was a failed attempt at irony Don't ask . . . sorry
  5. Eerie #23, 9.2 WHITE - Classic Frank Frazetta Cover 3rd highest, 1 of 3 in this grade Link
  6. My thoughts exactly. Why does society insist that someone with an accent equates to "brilliant"? Their accents were horrible. Completely unintelligible dialog (thumbs u Which was obviously intentional. Ok . . .
  7. Talk about a classic cover - that's one in my book! That's a knockout copy too!

  9. I kept thinking, this is supposed to be some of the sharpest people on the planet. That was not communicated by any of the actors in the cast including Coulson. But I'll give it a chance.
  10. Arrow is light-years ahead, but it's also only the 1st installment, and it will likely improve. The scene where Coulson injected the agent with truth serum so he could gush about that girl was really, really stupid. I hope they get it together. I'm not accustomed to feeling sorry for Marvel fans.
  11. That is a nice 4.5, that's for sure.
  12. Catch-and-release, let the big ones roam free. That's classy Brian (thumbs u
  13. I can't speak to his popularity in print, but I can say that he's had his own animated show (years back), and that he's been reintroduced into the DCAU numerous times (specifically in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold) as well as being a DCAU short targeted for kids on Saturday mornings. I just saw one during Beware the Batman and I've seen him during Teen Titans also. He plays fairly well to the 'kid' demographic. He appeals to them because he is slapstick-ish and translates into a number of ridiculous situations without difficulty. So would I count him out? Nope, in fact there was alot of talk about him recently as additional DL content for Injustice: Gods Among Us. There's consistent buzz about him and I would never be surprised about his inclusion across the media efforts of WB/DC. As far as the 66 #1...I guess that would be the most logical jump off point for collectors.....trying to grab the GA 41 #1 is rough. Anytime I see one in decent grade I get my antennae up. I've been watching DVR recordings of the Beware the Batman series on Saturday, it is really well done. They introduced Metamorpho on the episode a few weeks ago. I wonder if they will bring that character back again. He really works in CGI. And (I think) that's a good point - characters that have been dormant since the GA are suddenly being brought out in comics and movies - and I think CGI will make it possible for some of the more challenging super heros to portray (before CGI came along) translate well into film.
  14. Geoff Johns "Barry Allen, when he first appeared in Showcase #4 … he ushered in the Silver Age of DC superheroes. In the same way, he's going to usher in some new and pretty insane concepts to the "Arrow" world. But in a very grounded way." Very cool for us Flash nuts
  15. The first one sold (the seller ended the auction). Probably went for > 2 grand. Cover detached, rusty staples, centerfold loose, bad stains, etc. But still a number 4. Top one went for $1,750 (plus $40 shipping). Yeah, I just got a nice surprise. My boy bought that one too. Now he has 3. Is he trying to corner the market ? What does he know that we do not - make him talk Hey, I'm as surprised as ya'll are. Based on Sam I am's news flash, there could be a whole slew of new Flash fans and an ideal demo to market affordable copies of Showcase #4. So he may be on to something
  16. Wow, that sounds great! Where'd you read this?
  17. Arrow was a great show, and I'm looking forward to the new season. Flash appearing, well now I'm really dying to see this show return
