  1. And I happen to know where you can get one for under GPA shameless I tell you
  2. Yeah, we'll see Timing might not be great with SDCC next week, but I doubt you could get these books for this price at that venue
  3. The guys strikes me as a doofus, let Mavel have 'em.
  4. I read the opening is delayed until next year because of renovations etc., etc. "The museum was scheduled to reopen in late 2013, but due to the necessary upgrades and repairs it will reluctantly have to wait until early next spring."
  5. Already seems like a bargain (thumbs u So what SHOULD a B&B #28 6.0 sell for these days
  6. Very cool article talking about the Justice League in Forbes of all places - who'd a thought comic book characters would be such big business. Some great points made in it - Jon Stewart Green Lantern, Wonder Woman being one of the "holy trinitys" of superheros and DC's trump card over Marvels Avengers, ect, etc. About that last point - watch out 'cause Marvel could still get a jump on DC / Warner Bros if they dawdle around with the ideas for too long.
  7. TBH, I don't pay too much mind to census numbers any ways
  8. They are in the auctions - not the "For Sale" listings. http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?id=979497 http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?id=979503
  9. I always turn the labels in if I've cracked and resubmit a book. It's in my interest to keep the census accurate. Makes sense.
  10. Another off-topic observation by your friendly neighborhood dyslexic - I find it so amusing that the debate over Marvel vs. DC rages on 40 years after I first defended DC's against my Marvel collecting buddy. If this rivalry didn't exist, I imagine the hobby of collecting comics would not have become as great as it has.
  11. True, but I like when others affirm my desire for something . . . and of course it's nice when it ends up being valuable
  12. Had to hunt a little, but . . . http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/01/showbiz/bale-out-of-justice-league-ew/index.html?hpt=hp_bn9
  13. I think is simple - a bunch of people realized they could buy major DC for so cheap and this was just a correction. I think it'll settle down for a while and bump slowly upward as new films release. But I don't think the price spike was solely result of the movie. Certainly it served as a spark.
  14. Yes but with DC's there is room to grow in price whereas AF15's are already at a peak, IMHO.
  15. True, but I've noticed really popular books almost always get bid up high with them. Not that it's a bad thing mind you.
  16. Actually I think you have that backwards.... What he said....Sparkle City usually has a great turnout and folks bid like crazy. Most auctions I've followed on eBay, they do seem to really capture an audience of bidders. It's definitely worth watching.
  17. http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch%5Fadv%2Easp%3Fall%3Dy%26TITLE%3DShowcase%26TITLEOPT%3DALL%26ISSUE%3D4%26Condition%3D%26ConditionTo%3D%26CensusRank%3D%26SearchPageQuality%3D%26Pedigree%3D%26PRICEF%3D%26PRICET%3D%26DESCRIPTION%3D%26DESCRIPTIONOPT%3DALL%26SearchRemarks%3D%26SearchCGC%3D%26EXCLUDE%3D%26CATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26WCATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26SORT%3DCATEG%26%5Fwhere%5Fforsale%3Dy%26%5Fwhere%5Fauctions%3Dy%26x%3D45%26y%3D12%26where%5Fforsale%3Dy&id=965521 And then there's a nice 6.0 on comic link with an asking price in the high 13's. Seems a wee bit optimistic to me. This is the one we saw on eBay a while back. It has scars from color touch being scraped off, on the top left side, front cover.
  18. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=290933715141&index=3&nav=WATCHING&nid=08578915125 The other, for about $1000 less.
  19. I have to agree with Dan - at the risk of being run out of the forum, I'm not a big fan of Bale's portrayals - especially the somewhat peculiar one in the final film. We need the smart, snappy one for a JLA movie IMHO. I wonder if the actor who played Green Arrow in the TV series is going to be in the film as GA? Someone like that, albeit a brunette, is what they need.
  20. I guess if I held the book in hand and inspected it, with the idea that there could be something undetectable through the PHX slab, I might under certain circumstances buy one and crack it and resub to CGC. But certainly not with any high-dollar book. In this case I'd rather buy a raw book I can inspect thoroughly then a PGX'd book.
  21. apparently sold for best offer
