  1. Ditto that George, can't wait to see the results when it's all done
  2. They do. And those that have the eye to spot the candidates are rewarded by significant grade-bumps. That was a good book to begin with, apparently just needed a little nudge toward greatness. Nice!
  3. That was my though as well Fantastic pages there! Thanks for sharing (thumbs u It's was a very very improvable copy! Indeed it was, and improve it you have (thumbs u Congrads Congrats my man for your CGC 2013 award. Ditto that - congrads on winning mr congenial

  5. 30 seconds to report it - fraudulent listing.
  6. If they hadn't of pulled it, I was prepared to go to a billion
  7. There's still 6 days left to bid, and most will come the last few minutes. I don't think it going to bomb. And books generally go up and they go down. It's the natural order of things. And just wait till the next film is announced.
  8. Looks like your wings were clipped little birdey! Seriously
  9. I agree with you there's stuff to be had on eBay. You can chose a seller, whereas a buyer is arbitrary and you can get a dud. eBay must be making a lot of money on the fraudulent listings so as to not give a hoot. And experiences like the one above with the high-dollar book being shipped (empty envelope) to a wrong address, makes me wonder if I'm safe buying anything off eBay if they're going to side with the thieves. Clink and the sales forums here are safer!
  10. I reported the sale. I see it had no effect. EBay is done with in my eyes.
  11. Patience, all in good time, this too will come to be grasshopper
  12. Joker covers are certainly not a waste, I would imagine, but the good news is I think you probably still have time to get in under the big increases that are yet to come. At least that's what I hope.
  13. True it's a long wait, but B&B#28 was so ridiculously under valued it was due for a correction anyways. I mean the prices you could have bought a half-decent middle-grade copy for just a few short years ago, in hindsight were insanely low. I wish I had bought a few, but I'm not really a speculator when it comes down to it. I don't see a huge slide back in price. I think it'll settle down a bit and maybe stabilize somewhere just below current highs for a while. I do suggest you get a copy in the next year or so. But do it before the JLA movie premieres, thats for darned sure.
  14. There were a few someones actually Great news about the planned WB releases. I can't wait to see what they do with the Flash.
  15. Typical of DC collectors--they talk the talk but rarely walk the walk. I take exception to that comment. With fewer of them, it's not surprising that you don't get the frequency of sales, especially at conventions where prices tend to me throttled-up a tad to capture the impulse buyers. I've rarely ever gotten a book I needed for a bargain at a convention. But it's a heck of a lot of fun to do it when you do. There's less of us, and fewer books to choose from. So maybe because of that we're a little more selective about what we buy and what pay for it. My point is that the general gist of this thread is that the price of B&B 28 is skyrocketing and you literally can`t pay enough for it. But when copies are actually available for sale, there`s only the sound of crickets from all the B&B 28 cheerleaders. No crickets here fella - all sold http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=305909&Number=6845273#Post6845273

  19. Found this thread 7 pages back - supplanted by speculation on future pricing thread.
  20. Looky what I found 6 pages back
  21. Sweet book! I have had a few 5.5's that looked better than my 6.0's. It's just so close. But that one in particular, the front cover at least, looks nicer than the assigned grade.
  22. Not necessarily...you'd be surprised how many buyers hit the BIN with complete disregard of the "offer" option. No comment on that. But let's just say GPA data isn't always accurate. It's not on slabhunter and I couldn't find it on Greg's site - so maybe that's the one.
  23. I'd rather sell it here, but a few said it was priced too ambitious and it sat. It's on c-link, but I'd pull it down in a heartbeat, if anyone here wanted it. It's $2+ south of the latest sale on GPA
