It's odd that Thomas would choose two DC employees to "save" Marvel original art. But maybe the hope there was to hide the trail.

Slab or unslabbed, please advise.
Go here - Comics Market - Want To Buy! - CGC Comic Book Collectors Chat Boards (cgccomics.com)
and post this request. You'll be better served if you define what you mean by "low grade" (i.e. 2.0 -3.5), and how much you'd like to spend.
Good luck!

Reminds me of a Mapplethorpe exhibit.
B's arms would have to be straight out though. And he isn't wet enough.

I've had this question as well. Additionally, how do you arrive at a price? I assume most sellers ask for (much) more than their books are either worth, or than it makes sense to pay.

has anyone from portland or seattle ever been to this show before? wondering how many comics dealers will be there other than terry. its a 2.5 hr drive for me from portlandia, but i'm considering it...
Not sure what it means, but they stopped accepting new vendor applications a month ago, pending placement of returning vendors. This might only mean their floor space for vendors has been curtailed some due to covid.

An antique dealer near the lake was liquidating the boxes of comics he inherited from a friend. He said he has not looked at them in years. Books appear to be from the 90s. Multiple duplicate issues. Could not turn down 13 boxes for $250.00 CDN. Will post some pics after I do some digging today. Perhaps a sale soon?
Damn, that's like a dime a piece! It almost doesn't matter what's in there. Nice pickup!

Like you, I had a couple of friends into comics while in middle school/high school to share bus-riding adventures to a half-dozen LCS's. Over those years we all dropped off. As I'm only recently back into collecting after decades away, also like you I don't know anyone. I had a conversation at a nearby Estate Sale last week with a guy, and should have been more social about it, but it never occurred to me at the time. The point being I assume those opportunities are going to present in future and hopefully I'll be paying more attention.

It’s increased substantially. Want to insure at new value.
Can't blame you.

So your insurer won't accept the receipt for what you paid as the insurable value? Or did you get a great deal and the book's worth more?

Spreadsheet with everything for sale listed, and price. Leave a column for the buyer name, and fill it in as fast as you can when there is a take.
Yeah, it's the "as fast as you can" part - some sellers have more than one thread with lots of books/lots, etc. It's a skill.

Sorry bout' that, MTD.
No sweat. Honestly, I don't know how sellers keep track of it all.
A discussion about comic conventions, post pandemic.

I'd have no hesitation attending a convention. I agree that there are still plenty of questions about how large gatherings are going to work, and whether people will just return to their previous behavior patterns or some significant percentage will just stop attending conventions, concerts, movies, sporting events, festivals, and etc to the point where these just become economically impossible. On-line works for many things, but there will be areas where it can't help or provide the same experience.
