For obvious reasons, I'd personally prefer Silver Age stories and characters in the FF movies. There are plenty of good stories during the first 100 issues of FF. Nevertheless, I'll continue to hope this will be good and Ms Garner will bring the kind of gravitas to the Silver Surfer he had in the comics.

Wolverine's co-creator has been changed to Roy Thomas???

It's a bit of a stretch in my mind to give an Editor credit as a creator of a character, unless he/she was actually involved in the creative effort as opposed to just editing the final product. No one believes the editor of Arthur Conan Doyle's novels is a "co-creator" of Sherlock Holmes, even if he or she suggested a Deer Stalker. -
MAD MAX: FURIOSA starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth (2024)

Honestly, some of this just looks like footage from previous Mad Max movies they're reusing. Will there be anything unique about this script?- 116 replies

There's a decent argument to be made that things would be much better.

I wonder if we shouldn't stop using the term "Fair Market Value." If that's what prices listed here and there are supposed to represent, an offer of less would have to be "unfair." It's too bad that all those lower-priced sales aren't necessarily reflected in published pricing. OTOH, I'm a "market" guy and people should charge what the market will bear. If you're running a business, you have different metrics than a collector does. The idea of a market is to recognize those different motivators and hope that the two can meet somewhere both are satisfied if not pleased. I agree that if you accept a price for one of your books that's unsatisfying, that's on you.

People will come at these questions from different perspectives, but there's no reason not to be covered. Remember, the life or disability insurance is not for you, it's to replace the income your family will lose should something happen to you. In this day and age, both spouses should have insurance if they both earn an income and you should be "overinsured" if you have kids who may yet need higher education. The premiums are a pittance compared to what they replace if you die. A guy I went to college with died in a small plane crash at about 30 - he left a wife and 3 small children and had NO life insurance. Trust me, that was a topic of conversation amongst our college crowd after the memorial service. He was on partner track at a large law firm here, and I can tell you his family didn't end up with the life they thought they were going to have.

I agree with KJ about the $15 shipping on a $9 book. However, I can also say I won't normally buy lots UNLESS I actually want/need all the books in the lot. I do understand that listing 150 books separately in 2 different threads is several tons of work.
