  1. To think of all the times in the past that I passed over the Whitmans because I thought of them as reprints
  2. Edit: Didn't notice this was posted above . But it bears repeating.
  3. You'd have to be awfully naive to think that Wolverine will remain dead. Few die in comics and never come back, especially major characters. He's as dead as Superman was. There is no way he'll remain dead for long. He'll be back.
  4. Spider-Man vs Firelord. Spidey faces off with Firelord, a much more powerful being and manages to defeat him.
  5. Kinda, not really - it was literally a re-edit of the Lone Wolf and Cub movie (and parts of the sequel movie). True, it was edited from the Japanese movies, but that's the version that was released in the US. I remember seeing it in a small theater that had been used previously for showing adult films.
  6. Shogun Assassin (1980) was a movie based on Lone Wolf and Cub.
  7. nothing is guaranteed with pressing Obviously you didn't see the rolling eyes.
  8. But he already pegged two for 9.9. Maybe CGC got it wrong? BTW, are there any pressers that will guarantee a 9.9? Maybe that's where he went wrong?
  9. kav, how is it that you say all those things are impossible, yet you talk like Quicksilver can actually run that fast? It's a comic book movie. You have to suspend your beliefs. There are no persons with super powers. It's fantasy. Not real. At all. Having said that, I thought the movie was so-so.
  10. A little cheesy... but I like it. 'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Alfred Lord Tennyson
  11. Part of the experience is that being in an environment helps develop your skills. Maybe Frazetta didn't learn much from the teacher, but he "learned more from my friends there."
  12. So...did anybody get a piece of that Avengers Annual #7?
  13. To tell the truth, after seeing the original release, I'm not at all interested in a "R" rating version. I don't think they can dress it up enough to pique my interest.
  14. Too much emphasis is put on who's #1 for the week. You need to look at the bigger picture and see how it does in the long run. If it's #2 to a strong movie it's still a good thing. If it's #2 to a mediocre movie, then maybe not so good.
  15. I actually agree, ... You get to see the ad, and it has sigs. To each their own. Really cool and I raise my beer for someone who thought outside of the longbox. Cheers to capitalism! Y'know it's not like Trimpe is signing any more of these, nobody else can say "I think I'll do that too!" At least the seller had the sense to get more than one of 'em done. Here's another: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Premiere-19-Hulk-181-AD-Page-Only-1st-Wolverine-CGC-SS-Wein-Trimpe-/281991543015?hash=item41a80178e7:g:-RwAAOSw--1Wtl9X I don't like the idea of dismembering a book. On the other hand, i know people want to see the sigs on the relevant page, so slabbing the Premiere 19 doesn't do that. Couldn't you just have the book slabbed with it opened to the ad page? Of course it would get damaged, but still would be intact.
