It's easy to find books by Barks' but they have been well-read. Here are the first 16 stories but I am missing a few covers.

Very cool group! I have a copy of #35 (2nd row on the left with Huey, Dewey & Louie in the fridge) & I just love the cover. The refrigerator brand is "Phreezo" & for whatever reason that just cracks me up every time I see it. The happy looks on the nephews' faces & typical angry Donald are great too.

  2. The movie was good for its time, people just enjoy trashing it. Great soundtrack, and very enjoyable for when it came out, though some scenes were always terrible (end fight in the cathedral for instance).

It does not hold up well as comic book movies have moved forward a lot in terms of quality since then, but I have no problem saying that I enjoyed it and Elektra when they were new.

Ben Affleck though, is one of those actors (like Will Smith), who you are always aware of while he is acting and it does break the story/character a fair bit. That's why I think he will be terrible in Batman vs Superman. Whenever he is in the Batman costume, he'll be fine, but as Bruce Wayne (or Matt Murdock in Daredevil) he is still going to be very very much "Ben Affleck playing a character".

I totally agree. I enjoyed the movie at the time but people seemed to instantly bash it mostly because of him. He was totally Ben playing a part but even as Matt Murdock I thought he was pretty good.

  3. Four years of searching under every rock and this is the best copy I've found. A fair under copy now going up on eBay this weekend.

I don't think I have ever seen a copy posted here before, congrats!

I love Golden Age motorcycle covers & am really enjoying this thread. Now looks like I need to start looking for this Fighting Yank too. Thanks for giving me a new obsession! :frustrated::grin:

  4. I personally would like very much to see a live version of the Beyonder, as long as they stay on-model from Secret Wars 2.

    Jheri-curl? Check.

    Mullet? Yes!

White leather jacket, white shirt, white pirate pants tucked into white Uggs? AB-SO-FRIGGIN-LUTELY.

    Epic.

It's going to be quadruple come this Summer as I plan on getting Al Milgrom to sign IRON FIST #14 since he worked on the cover.

Nice! I always liked Al Milgrom. Just got my first SS of his in the last CLink auction.
