  1. That's an awesome story! Just curious if the book was already signed, or if you got it signed later? I was lucky enough to collect the series from the beginning (thanks to my LCS & her son putting #1 in my pull box with a note saying: I think you will like this). But #3 was the first issue that really resonated with me - and then #4 was dynamite!
  2. Many congrats! Such a cool book. I really like Delerium. Took me a little bit to warm up to her, but she is my 3rd favorite Endless character after Dream & Death. I'd love to see her introduced into the upcoming Sandman Netflix show, and for a bigger audience to appreciate her. It would also be interesting to see if they would dive into her previous 'incarnation' as Delight.
  3. Hob Gadling is a fave character in the series for me. Love his character arcs and seeing what he goes through and how he feels about Morpheus and life over the years.
  4. Except - didn't they just announce a new movie she will be in for them (Tower of Terror)? 'Not forever... just for now'
  5. I think AT&T/HBO made their decision early on in 2021 to not charge extra for films this year only. Disney decided they would charge extra for new releases on a same-day drop. iirc, HBO got bombed for 'gutting their theater earnings' with the non-pay strategy for the year. Disney did not. Now, near the latter part of the year, it appears the interpretation has been flipped. Maybe HBO gains some goodwill and subscribers that helps them down the road, and perhaps they keep the 2021 model. Or maybe they charge a smaller fee for same-day releases in 2022. Disney probably made some immediate cash - but who knows what it did to their subscriber base. Probably didn't help enhance it.
  6. I had my eye on that copy to see where it might land. I thought it was a nice looking copy for the grade, and *wow* did it jump ($$-wise)! Many congrats to buyer & seller.
  7. This style of Ditko's work reminds me of Carl Barks' sweet, sweet adventures with Uncle Scrooge, Donald & H/D/L!
  8. LoL - so Killmonger's Belt: 2.0 Book grade: looks like a very solid 9.2. A decent 9.4 possibility from the photos. Just some minimal bottom corner blunting and top staple spine stress?
  9. Oh, absolutely. Even as a big comic fan, the Eternals have just never been on my list of 'must-read' stuff. I'm curious about the movie & I like the idea of the Celestials, but this show won't be first-day viewing for me.
  10. I'd say - go see it. You can't let critics, newsprint or digital, influence or ruin your desire to see a film you're curious about. It can be difficult when there is a lot of info grinding against your thoughts and feelings about the show you want to experience. If it sucks, well then - you can at least decide that for yourself. But enjoy it or dislike it on your own accord! I'm going to watch this one. Not sure when, but I'll check it out.
  11. I think we're gonna have to wait until Dr. Strange 2 for those particular characters...
  12. That's a very good question! I have given it a little thought over the years, but I always ended up in the 'leave-it-alone' camp. But if the bug-chew area were to be re-worked and the top of the spine and a bit on the top back cover - I do wonder what the restored grade could achieve. No idea on re-working the large chunk out of the cover that has already been replaced. It's an interesting idea for sure!
  13. Comic book movies have had a great run. Longer than I expected, especially at the top of the mountain financially. But - like westerns & war movies & cop/crime genres, eventually superheroes won't be at the top. No idea what will take that slot down the road. Hopefully we can still get great superhero flicks every so often though - much like we get a great western/war/crime genre gem once in awhile. As I've said before, however (echoing Frank Miller): Hollywood needs stories. And comics have a storyboarded boatload of them ready to go & sometimes with a solid fanbase in place.
  14. I'm not sure why Disney/Marvel chose Eternals... other than: 1) New blood/characters 2) A way to 'on-ramp' mutants? 3) Why not? But - just because it wouldn't have been my first choice of characters doesn't mean I'm not curious about the show. The Celestials are looking sweet. I could have said the same about Guardians of the Galaxy as well. That wasn't a set of characters I would have greenlit, but it gave the MCU some cosmic/space players, and they pulled it off.
  15. I wonder if RDJ was on-set in a 'flashback' sequence?
  16. Ultron's Stupid Mouth was the name of my 1980's metal cover band...
  17. Just remember: WWH is when the Hulk came back to Earth. Just because they are calling it WWH at the moment - I wonder what the MCU will be doing here. Hulk has already been off-planet & come back. It seems unlikely an Illuminati group is gonna send him off again. Maybe we do get a General Ross Red Hulk and he battles it out with Banner? And if so - who would get in the middle of that? I dunno - just spitballing.
  18. Wonderful copy, Andy!!! Clean white area up top & good color strike! I love it when an FF 1 does not have Marvel chipping.
  19. Sure. They are in a transition spot. And results have been mixed so far. Somewhat expected. I hope for them to find their footing and start their new stories off well before too long. I do think Hawkeye looks fun. Looks like it will have a good mix of action/humor.
  20. I really want to enjoy all super hero related films. I want them all to succeed. I mean - I enjoy film, and I enjoy comics. It's a literal win/win for me if both merge & there's a wonderful product to enjoy. Plus, competition should raise the stakes & put the pressure on across the board. (should...! ) I'd love for DC's movie product to be better, but their HBO/small screen stuff has been solid & I am enjoying those - maybe even more than the Disney+ stuff.
