  1. I'm tempted to say everything in my collection These two are very common and yes I own them.
  2. I love this cover. I just noticed that the octopi has seven not eight tentacles. Am I counting correctly, maybe Rulah clipped one already.
  3. I always thought it was Sultan too. I was surprised when I saw your post when you posted that. I do have Choice Comics #3. I kind of thought Sultan had a hand in it but I have no idea. GCD has no credits assigned. Any thoughts on the cover artist?
  4. I have mentioned before that Lou Fine is my favorite GA artist and his artwork via Alan Light's reprints forever turned me into a GA collector. Fine influenced many others. I have read of artist greats like Murphy Anderson, Alex Toth, Gil Kane, Jim Steranko among others. Not sure if these have ever been documented in interviews but no doubt his art and talent extended past his drawing table. One artist who seemingly was not only influenced but also a near clone of Fine was Charles Sultan. I wonder if Sultan gets the credit he is due or if he is frowned upon a bit and considered a blatant copier of Fine, e.g., Hit #5 and Scoop #2. (I have a Hit 5 but still searching for that Scoop 2) similar to Hal Foster and Frank Frazetta image comparisons. If you are going to copy, copy the best but it wasn't like Sultan was tracing Fine's art. He was a top tier artist in his own right (imo). Just curious about how others feel about the Sultan - is he appreciated enough? And I would love to see folks post any thoughts, covers, interiors, OA, etc. Some of mine with his covers to start a Sultan's tribute thread.
  5. This one may have been posted already. I had forgotten Raboy did this cover. Would love to add a #1 and #3 but the #3 is a toughie.
  6. Great cover on this one but I am partial to big, carnivorous apes.
  7. Someone should jump on the Blackhawk 20. Too much for me and I have a mid grade copy which by the way was purchased from Rick in an earlier sale. I've seen very low grade copies go for 2-3 bills on EBay. Great books as always, good sir.
  8. That dude has a hairy set of knuckles and forearms
  9. I'm not sure that's politically correct
  10. Great books, Nik. That Richie Rich is magnificent.
  11. Black Cat Mystery 50 was the first one I thought of.
  12. agreed, 3 ain't a classic. it's not easy in grade, tho'--very nice copy here. I actually like the cover - more for the dynamics of the boy's parade - Raboy made it look like fun and who wouldn't want shorts like some of the kids are wearing. It is a nice copy for sure.
