  1. Yes I remember. I had asked about him (Connor, I believe is his name) as I couldn't remember his board name. That was the last update I saw. Being a parent, it makes me sad to see something like that and the events with Dylan happen. I hope can find their way.
  2. The CapFreak ordeal was painful. I wished I had been given that opportunity 40 years ago. You really never know what is at play in home life or other issues that can cause the behavior or if it is just plain immaturity or a mixture.
  3. Yeah I was watching and cringing too. Someone had taken quite a bit of care protecting those books. And I had no idea there was an Oral Roberts published comic.
  4. Don't you think that is a conscious choice by CL to encourage bidding? That has always been my thought. I put tracking bids in early and track in comictrack. Or CL just doesn't want/need to overhaul and pay the cost, They get good hammer prices but I do wonder if they had a watch, someone who hasn't entered a marker bid early, may bid late from their watch list.
  5. I have a few Command Cody posters and several lobby cards. Always one of my favorites. The original Rocketeer.
  6. Here is a fun Batman pressbook (re-release of the serial). Bigger than most books and unfortunately folded.
  7. I wish for a month or so, the board software would show the old name. I live in a constant state of confusion anyway. Heck, I get muddled up when someone changes their avatar alone. If they do both their name and avatar at the same time
  8. @Larryw7 Awesome! I have pretty stopped buying posters because of space but still do an occasional WWI or WWII poster like the one below or ones associated with serials. Pretty much just lobby cards and pressbooks now. The Chandu is a recent pickup. It is huge 12.5" x 18.5"
  9. It is working for me. I also used it about an hour ago with no issues.
  10. I actually just looked at some of my submissions (already received which did have grader notes links originally) and now nada,
  11. I agree but I have always thought this was a conscious choice by CL to encourage bidding. Just guessing, though. I admit I put my marker bids when an auction opens.
  12. Just so you know, the seller hasn't visited the boards since April 14, 2013.
  13. Lobby cards are basically smaller movie posters at 11" x 14" (that Supes is smaller from the UK) so no pages.
  14. Several pages back I posted a mug shot of Daniel Dupcak. Dupdork has been able to linger and thieve from folks for decades. When I posted that mugshot image, I noted that they seem to have similar business practices and ethics). I don't think ego is what makes a thief steal and prey on others; however, I do think many thieves are egomaniacs.
  15. I voted for Cal to be CGC President. I doubt Dylan could sport a purple suit as dapper as Cal does.
  16. My god, I snafued - that is John's cover not Sal's. I am such a newb but here is one image with a quick search. I do agree with Paul @Ken Aldred that I felt John was more polished and accomplished but Sal was a stalwart and still favorite of mine.
  17. That garbley gook I posted above is from their page that I linked below. Good gosh, $5 is so much simpler. I can't believe I failed to look under their services page. Thank you. It would be nice if the two pages were consistent but again I said my ciphering acumen wasn't high to process that the solution equation below is $5. "Additionally, CGC charges a reject fee for each comic returned uncertified. Fees are calculated based on the number of books submitted, the grading tier selected, the percentage that passed, and the minimum grade requested." https://www.cgccomics.com/services/prescreen/
  18. If you are talking about the Defenders 2, I still have it and I have posted it before but here it is again. I still think it a damned good cover. If you mean Valkyrie, one of personal favs is Avengers 83 - my copy below the Defenders
