I've been looking for a nice affordable SC 22 for years....long before the movie hype started. I thought the highest graded copy was a 9.0 that went for $20 grand awhile back on C-Link or HA. M. Wilson (dizneyart) sold a very nice FN 6.0 Universal on ebay recently for $3.5k. It had OW/W pages a rarity for this issue and had blazing colors front and back. I bid $3 grand and thought I won it !!!

I think I've seen a zillion cracked-slab threads in the past month on the Boards. C'mon people, get the word out to shippers & dummies: It's ok to put in a flat envelope to keep it flat and rigid, but box it up and load it with lotsa packing materials !! Priority envelopes and boxes are FREE at the USPS. Shredded newspaper or styrafoam peanuts are good packers (the foam peanuts ain't cheap). Treat all books to be shipped like they are 9.6 AF15'ers !

Very difficult to find this key in nice shape. For years, this was the 1st SA Cappy!!! To me, it still is.... (If yer sellin' I'ma buyin!!!)

Remember Roy that Kirby did the AF15 cover. The front cover Spidey was totally opposite than the inside Spidey (in comparing artwork vs. artwork) but still likable enough to sell the book.

To have pencilled Spidey is enough for me. I love the Ditko "skinny" Spiderman on the top of the AF15 splash page with the adjacent "blazing red" Spider-Man letters (big to small) with an exclamation point! To me, it just doesn't get any better than that!!! Iconic, illustrative, imaginative, and introductory.. "I asked Steve to draw Spider-Man. And he did. And the rest is history". - Stan the Man Does this help alter yer mind thinking Roy?

Is the JIM 58 an FF1 cover prototype? Kinda resembles it...

Sweet book Great book. Thanks guys. In many ways this book represents the culmination of a lifetime love affair with this great hobby of ours. ASM was definitely the book that hooked me as a kid + will always be special to me no matter how badly some of(not all) the modern writers try to eff it up (thumbs u Korvac, that's the most AMAZING SM1 I've seen in a long time. Notice the squareness of the book. Everything is ON the front cover...the 12 cent circle, the indicia, CCA, green circle, etc. Perfectly centered with no cover toning...you rascal! Congrats buddy from an old timer!!!!

Mine may be a minority opinion but I really hate that cover. I think it's Gil Kane's worst Green Lantern cover. Green Lantern looks all wrong. I dislike it so much that it was my lowest priority among early Lantern issues but three or so years ago I bought a copy anyway when I ran across a particularly pristine copy. I love that cover!! GLs have the most desirable and eye catching covers of 'em all !! GK...we knight thee !!!!

I'd love to own his AF15. Getting a one owner book is better than sex with C. Diaz...(just guessing).

Nice............. Have ya'll noticed that ALL #6s have the white scuff mark (printer's error) just below the Lizard's two fingers? And I always wondered why the GG did not have a balloon that sayeth, "Damn it Spidey....my left hand is on FIRRRRRREEEE!"
