  1. Same here. Any AF15 bought nowadays will have a premium price. Got mine in 2011.
  2. Or buy a race horse and win a major Stakes race.
  3. My fave AF15. I remember when the Curator sit and sit and sit for 35k about 25 yrs ago. Incredible white back cover.
  4. Love this set. A pleasant grade and run to enjoy.
  5. Yep that is the date stamp. FF1 hit the newsstands in August '61. 8/8 is simply Aug 8th (as we all know).
  6. It's all about the eye appeal. Always has been always will be. Prettier books bring more. No one is going to let a book with clean grays, no MC, and bright colors go for a bargain.
  7. Hey I just risked my AF15 for a new holder. It's all worth it (after it comes back).
  8. it's up and down and all around. I'd say 200k + or - and probably more on the + side.
  9. Had this book for almost 10 years. A rainbow effect started in the slab, talked to CGC, and reholdered the book. Just got it back. Very nice indeed. Yeah I sweated bullets every minute it was gone! First 2 pics are the old slab and the last 2 pics are the new slab.
  10. Your first AF15? I remember my first one. 1986 in a Little Rock, AR comic ship. Poor condition for 75 bucks. Slept with it for days!
  11. very clean book and eye popping colors. wish I had a book like this raw to enjoy.
  12. Next year on this day will be 60 years. Time flies.....
  13. Hey GK Nice book but I wonder what criteria CGC uses to separate Slight, Moderate, etc. This H1 is Slight but there is a narrative a mile long to accompany it.
  14. AF15 has highs and lows like any collectible. Long term this book has done extremely well. It will bounce back.
  15. Ever thought that maybe collectors are being more frugal in their buys (money)? Lots of uncertainty going on nowadays.
