How to create your own western hero comic book!

31 posts in this topic

Here is a tutorial on how to create your own western hero comic character. We will start with one non-descript Canadian tax auditor who wishes to remain anonymous. We shall refer to him as "Greggy". For reference we will use this shot of "Greggy" relaxing outdoors.

The first thing we do is remove "Greggy from a modern day setting and put him in an action-packed western scene.

Every comic character needs an origin, so for "Greggy" let's say he was wandering around the Great White North and stumbled upon a baby Wolly Mammoth caught in a trap. He released the Mammoth, named him "Wooly" and had a friend for life. They decided to try their luck in the California gold county and made the trek south. Folks marvelled at their strange but heart-warming relationship and began to refer to him as that Vancouver Kid. Whenever they encountered outlaws and varmints "Wooly" would always come to "Greggy's" aid. They were soon joined by Kid Coleman and began a long and illustrious career of good deeds and high-spirited adventures!
