I'm flying in on Friday night but I won't be able to make the show in time. I land at the Columbus airport around 6:40.

 

I'm not sure what our plans are for Saturday night. It will be me, Bill Bodin, BradleyX2 and one other working at the CGC booth. I don't know if they plan to set up for preview night or not.

That's good with me, too. There might have been too many confusing utensils for us at the nice joint. :grin:

 

Frog, Bear & Wild Boar is pretty close. There are tons of places, I'm sure something will be open. A short drive and we can be at the Spaghetti Warehouse.

It has some bar areas and i think a restaurant but i"m sure it's sky high. I'm staying at the hotel and will be in Friday afternoon.

 

If you need food during the day, you can go downstairs (elevator) from show and there is a food court.

I don't know if I'll be able to join you guys, but as a much less expensive alternative there is a pub accross the street from the convention center called Barley's Ale House No. 1. They have good food (better than Applebees, etc..) and an excellent assortment of beers. If you end up with a smallish gathering of people for dinner, this place could be able to accomodate it.

Crud! I wish I would have read this thread sooner. :frustrated: My dad was good friends with Scott Francis, the Brewmaster for Barley's. In fact, I just saw Scott in September at my dad's funeral service.

 

Had I read this a bit sooner,i may have been able to set something up for you guys with Scott. I will be at the show myself Saturday, but I will have baggage (two cousins & an in-law) who may not want to stick around to eat. Maybe I'll be able to chat with some of you guys at the show. :wishluck:

If we can find a decent sit down type restaurant, i'm pretty sure Barry Kitson and his rep Chad Olson will join us. For all of you golden age yahoo's, Barry is a modern age artist of such hits as Empire and Legion of Superheroes. He's the guy you see with a line 40 feet long as he does free sketches all weekend non stop. ONe of the nicest guys you can meet.
