Wow! I thought it was a 9.2 (Thought 9.4 was very possible). Very surprised with 9.6----I might have to go to a convention and look for some JLA's that look like that.

I'm surprised by the grade too, but even more surprised that some went below 9.2.

Congrats too Nik! I always under grade, so I felt it was a 9.4 so I gave it a 9.6 and I lucked out! :banana:

I was worried about that dot/discoloration on the bottom spine corner...I thought the book overall was an EZ 9.4 and possibly a 9.6 due to the overall xlnt presentation of the predominantly black cover...but I thought that dot could have dropped it to a 9.2...so I split the diff at 9.4...my

9.2 here. Went with the two minor corner dings and SLIGHT miswrap (9.8 - .6 = my incorrect 9.2). Ah well- my loss = Nik's gain! Woo hoo!

i felt the grade range for CGC was 9.2-9.6 on this one but after adding up the tiny defects i agreed with the majority that this one fell short of NM by a hair.

I went with 9.4. I felt like it could have been borderline 9.6, but thought I saw enough defects to to lower it to a 9.4. Oh well, on to round 2.

Went with a 9.0 here! I thought the TFE was looking like a slight thumb crease. The back corner was puzzling too... nice grade!!!

i said 9.0. even seeing the 9.6 answer, I'd still say 9.0. grading is subjective, not a perfect science. ah well, on to the next round.

 

perhaps i undergrade often... you guys should pay attention to my for sale threads...

I thought 9.6 but chickened out and picked 9.4, figuring I'd be guaranteed 3 points.

 

I can already tell that I'm going to put too much thought into this and second guess myself.

 

Probably should use the Greggy method and just give the book a quick look and go with first instincts...
