Spring 1944 Planet contains 'The Jewel of Bas', a great novelette, perhaps the first but surely not the last one, from the wonderful Leigh Brackett. Nice!

Glad to see someone else collects western pulps. I picked up a big batch because my father used to collect them. They had some pretty good characters like the Silver Kid, Freckles and Kid Wolf.

I've heard that when you seek advice go to an expert. That being said, I realize the answer to my question may well be "No". Are there any authors who have any published volumes of Collected Works from this time period who have material similar to and rivalling that in quality of HP Lovecraft ? GOD BLESS...
