This is like Secretariat winning the belmont by 31 lenghs. There is just no frame of reference what so ever to compare it to..I AM STUNNED!!!!!!!!!!

I think this is exciting, as new record prices seemingly every month are a sign of how healthy our hobby is, but I am not suprised at this price for this great book

peter, there were 2 major players going after this book, both with very deep pockets...I think you take either one of them out of the equation, and it is an $80K book...but, I could be WAY wrong, too

I believe it was set up with no seller commission, so the consignor should have gotten 100% of bid (heritage gets the 19.5%)...
