Plates for the TPB #22 and the AoW HC

 

I don't see any of those covers on the Nowells Brothers CAF, unless you know something I don't. ;)

 

Trust me I look everyday. lol Plus I had my eye on 2 pieces, but now they're gone :cry:

Someone should start a price guide, or reference guide, to monitor Walking Dead pricing when offered for sale directly from the artist.

It is easier to justify top dollar pricing for covers when there is a limited supply readily available for public sale.

Well that makes sense. I just like looking at them. Makes me just work that much harder to save enough for another cover. Especially when they are readily available. I wanna be able to just say ok I'm ready to buy another cover, but not when they're not up obviously. Makes me not want to bother the rep out of fear of rejection. I like looking and window shopping. Couldn't he have just put a note saying pieces are at gallery still available please email me, and kept them up? Not up for viewing promotes a sold status to me. 2c But hey what do I know?

Things are only taken down when they're bought. These were purchased. Happy holidays to whomever got a hell of a collection. Some of those covers were no-brainers. 134? Could be a classic.

That statement is not fully accurate. There have been numerous times when The Walking Dead pages and covers were removed from the website only to reappear 6-8 months later, sometimes at a lower price point. This is a very uncommon occurrence, but it has just in the past year been evident with pages such as TWD #109 Page 14, TWD #115 Page 21, TWD #117 Page 15, and even TWD #112 Image Expo cover. Items have also previously been taken off the website when they are consigned to an art exhibit and put back up when returned.

 

Some of the items were indeed priced very fairly (Forbidden Planet AP plate) or were unique cover worthy images (Gosh Comics plate). Both were on hold and quickly snapped up. But it is highly unrealistic that someone would have in a single day purchased the remaining cover stock which consisted of several duds including the Lobster Hand cover. If they did, then they certainly overpaid on several duds for the privilege of owning a cover. $4000 for Mr. Lobster Hand is absurd considering an extra couple of thousand can bring in a much better zombie/main character cover down the road.
