Too lazy to look it up, but is it a holiday movie for this year? And, any rating yet (safe for young kids)?

 

Was originally scheduled to be released in Dec but was delayed until May...

 

You can take that two ways...

 

- The film has been looking great and was moved to be a potential Summer blockbuster...or...

 

- The movie needs work and needed to be delayed in an attempt to fix....

They don't need to exactly replicate the 60's look.

 

 

Spock's eyebrows are pretty bad too! :insane:

the move to "move" the film to next summer was made in Feb of this year, so I think it is the former!

Looks great, but I still think it would like even better with some person_without_enough_empathyin' flames painted on the side.

 

Really don't know how you could screw up the original concept...

I WISH them luck. They definately are going for the younger crowd with this and the non-trekkies.This could upset a lot of the old guard Star Trek fans.I have a friend named Kenny, he`s a big Star Trek lifer fan and he is allready in a hoot about it. :)

The trailer will be released on the official movie website on Monday.

 

BTW, I enjoy the teaser trailer that's presently there, showing the construction phase of the ENTERPRISE. Having been onboard during new carrier construction at the shipyard, I appreciate the engineering and logistical challenges to build and deliver such a massive ship.
