BOOT
This giveaway comic is very cool. It was produced in 1955 by Santa Claus Helpers of North Pole, Alaska! The only copy of this I've ever seen. 16 pp, self-covered.
shiverbones
That is a really cool book! I love the elves & the "Rubber stamped" cover text.
BOOT
This is a little smaller than a regular sized comic book. It is like a deluxe Christmas card in a comic book format. It has 18 pages with a card stock cover. Bound by a green cord. This was produced in 1959 and distributed by Ogle's Fine Restaurant of Dexter City, Ohio. This may have been a stock item from a card company that was imprinted for Ogle's. This is a folksy, nostalgic, bittersweet look back at small town America. Only in comic book form could such a great evocative story turn back time this way. This is a great example of why comics are such a unique collectible - their rich content. The only copy of this that I've ever seen, so scans of all pages are presented here and in the next post for your enjoyment. A postcard for Ogle's is shown below the back cover. Have a very Merry Christmas!

shiverbones
Wow! You really have some obscure Christmas beauties! Not comics, but these are three 100 year old postcards I think are fun and believe it or not, this is a Christmas postcard too! Krampus! bluechip
Note a cover but I think it's the only appearance by Hitler in an Archie comic. Edited December 29, 2009 by bluechip
BOOT
Christmas in October! Wasn't sure whether to post this in Have A Cigar or here... Recently picked up this odd Christmas comic. I was surprised to find it is an unlisted Canadian squarebound giant with four different comics inside! The contents include: an issue of Giggle or Ha Ha from ACG, an issue of Fawcett's Romantic Stories, an issue of Fawcett's Bob Colt (see next post), and one other comic (see second post following this). BOOT
From the Canadian giant squarebound Christmas Comics, an issue of Bob Colt from Fawcett. Can anyone identify the artist?
Scrooge
Good luck with the artist ID. I find that outside of Cpt Marvel & family, research on Fawcett is actually quite sparse.
BOOT
Here is the fourth comic that was inside the Canadian squarebound giant Christmas Comics. It has one story by George Evans for half of the comic, and one story by Bob Powell for half the comic. There weren't many, if any, other comics with that two story format. From the subject matter and the format info, can you identify the comic? Answer here: Love Mystery Comics #3 from Fawcett This comic was a fun and surprising discovery!
