2008 Christmas Gift Exchange Display Thread

Just got done opening presents.

Here is a picture of my Secret Santa gift.

 

This was my first time doing the Secert Santa and I must say it was one of the highlights of my Christmas.

 

Hope everyone is having a great Christmas and that they love thier Secert Santa gift as much as I did.

It's gonna be a few days before I'll be home to post pics, but my gifts from DiceX were AMAZING! An x-men 201, walking dead 1 trade, wolverine 10! and an awesome wolverine sketch on a secret invasion 1. Let's just say I was blown away with it's awesomeness and it was my favorite x-mas present.

I got the Marvel Vault book from somebody.. I dont know squat about Marvel, or any SA for that matter, so this was a great gift for me!!

 

Definitely going to read this to learn about Marvels history.. looks real cool

A big thanks to Fleemarket for getting me two wonderful items...."the Thrilling Art of Alex Schomburg" soft-cover edition and the brand new hardcover of "Brush with Passion: the Art of Dave Stevens". The latter was somewhat bitter-sweet for me, considering his passing earlier this year. It was also a painful reminder of my own ever-advancing age, as all my favorite comic artists are now deceased.

Many thanks to Cimm for an awesome group of comics, pulps, and mags. I've already started reading the first story "The Hunting Season" in Astounding Science Fiction. My wife loves the 3D comic (she is looking at it right now). She thinks I should start collecting 3D comics. I love it as well. Not to mention an LB Cole cover, Vampirella, Richard Corben, what more could a guy ask for?
