You're not alone on this one. I enjoy it, but don't watch all of them. The biggie in Scotsdale, Arizona is 3 days of must watch TV.

They're auctioning the first production new Camaro sometime this evening.

Curious what it will go for.

Had it on a while ago, and they had a beautiful 57 Bel Air Vert that went for $80,000.

'70 Judge that was pretty sweet, and a 1980 Turbo Trans Am with less than 500 miles on it, that someone paid $60 K + for.. :o

I never liked the Judge, but LOVE the Buick GS 455 stage cars.

The new camaro should bring some nice change.

And without a doubt the Turbo Trans Am was a DOG. Pontiacs attempt was not very successful with the Turbo car. But Buick..

I LOVE Buick Grand Nationals.

guilty as charged -- addicted. I also watch (constantly) the Mecum Auto Auctions ( muscle car specialists ).....they sold an $800,000 Camaro recently. Guess I should have kept my 1st car -- a 1973 chocolate brown Fierbird with a 3 speed manual transmission, 350 HP, Cragers and 60's.

Generation 2 F-Bodies are tough to find with a stick. Most were four speeds, I passed on a 78 Z last summer. Wish I hadnt now..

1980 was a dog year for GM, but...

The 89 GTA turbo 6 cy Trans Am is best of both worlds with regards to Grand Nationals / F body Trans Am, that car has some torque and power. GM intentionally lowered the horsepower and ET times because it blew away the Corvette which was GM's high end car for 1989. That car runs mid 13's stock. They also made only hard tops, no t-tops as if it did, the torque would twist the entire car and would break the windshield.

Forgot about that one. But if given the choice, I would take the GN hands down. I built enough F-Bodies, and G-Bodies to know those G-Bodies have much better suspension to work with. But I have seen the turbo GTA in the past (magazine or in person who knows anymore), I always loved the F-Bodies (I have owned 4). But G-Bodies have always been my choice for building a strip car. Well except my Nova and 70 MonteSS..

I went to the show in Scottsdale. I couldn't sleep for a week after seeing those cars. There were dirt farmers buying cars for $100,000 plus. I really had a good time and was pissed I couldn't buy any of the 1957 chevrolets..............and I had no idea how much money there is chasing these cars. The people are fanatic about these cars.

Could have bought a Buick Stage III about 15 years ago for $3500.00 Covertible with a 455. I didnt have a bidders card.

I have loved the Grand National since I was a kid. The GNX version goes for a lot of money though.

I wouldnt take the stage in convertible. I like MUSCLE. Gotta be a hardtop if its gonna go fast!

And correct that. ALL grand nationals are expensive!

I shopped those when they were brand new. :cloud9:

Decided to buy a used L69 '84 Z28 instead.

I can't believe someone got a Copo ZL 1 Camaro for $300 K.

The sky is falling indeed.

Had an 84 Camaro, made it a replica Z after my first car accident (I was 17). Always had Trans Ams afterwards.

And I love the Copo Camaros. Awesome cars. But always felt more for the Baldwin Motion Camaros. The history of those cars just makes me want them so much more.
