I actually think about the fact that he got a first printing TMNT #1 for $61 in 1999 every time I pay $20 for a nice condition first printing of ElfQuest #2 (1978 edition with the $1.00 cover).  They're not the same as TMNT #1 at all, but it is unbelievable how cheap the first printings of ElfQuest #2 still are... it's also the first issue of the series, black and white independent book with a good following for decades, reprinted twice over 40 years ago, and 6 years older than TMNT #1.   Still about $20?  Yes, please!

(Not Mile High, though, I don't trust them to send me a first printing or to grade correctly.) lol

Elfquest 2 is the first issue? Not Elfquest 1?

That's correct, was indeed Clink. Yeah the difference in price between now and even like two months ago is insane!

Ah nice - I also just learned another 6.5 sold for $12,000us so I guess that elite one isn't that far off the mark. oi!

Oh in that case yeah not far off. I think the 6.5 was an eBay copy 🤔

I’m just mainly happy I jumped on a super high grade 2nd print before it got nutty. It would suck to have owned any version of TMNT 1 and now not have it anymore.

I could care less

sold these in last few years :

albedo 2 cgc 9.6

tmnt 1 first print cgc 9.0

ASM 1 cgc 4.5

AF15 cgc 2.0

ASM run 2-800 complete run

many others

I cashed out and I’m happy I did . Every single one of these books is available to buy at any time . They are only paper I put money to great use buying my home . That’s smart business !

Some people just love to hate what they don't like or understand.  Sadly it's become human nature of ignorance and frankly, It's quite silly.  It's like the turtles ninja kicked him in the gonads or something and he has a personal mission to tear down their popularity.  Pretty easy to see how the Turtles are still popular today if you open your eyes and listen (actively listen) to what others say about them.

That’s it let the hate flow through u haha

So interestingly, I sent a 3rd print I bought to the “other company” because it had a signature and sketch, as well as apparently being a file copy. Unfortunately learned it’s too big for their holders so that’s disheartening haha. I guess I’ll get the signature stuff confirmed and just graded here 🤷‍♂️. And stuff like this is why CGC is my top choice when I can use them, which is on everything but pre-signed comics. I just wish they had a signature verification program, but I get why they don’t. Atleast I assume it has to do with them not wanting to deal with potential scam related issues. Other company was probably just like, “we need this additional business” lol.

I just set you to ignore in my settings. Let’s see if that works lol. Thank God it appears to work. Don’t have to listen to that idi** anymore!

The only rude person here was you . Telling me I was not welcome to post and now I’m an id.... some might say you’re just a troll or maybe this is only place you can feel comfortable bashing people . It’s ok ! You’re forgiven . Enjoy your second print!

I have a feeling this is going to be a significantly smaller club than the Spawn one. hm

I wish I could join. I only have a 4th printing. :sorry:

Why not? We're not snobs, like those guys over in the AF #15 Club. ;)

Any printing will do.... :)

Anyone can post in this topic with any TMNT #1 printing, according to the topic founder in 2009.

I’m under the assumption that this is a club for anyone with or interested in TMNT #1 regardless of printing. I don’t think anyone should feel they can’t comment on any of the prints if they have something interesting or objective to add. This is a thread celebrating #1 after all. I do however draw a line at continual trashing of both TMNT #1 and those who have a horse in this race. Surely the individuals who would want to do that would create their own thread and name it appropriately. Perhaps “Tmnt speculation thread” or “glad I got out of the market before Covid thread” would suffice. 2c
