Know, though, that you will end up with the lower numeric grade for the torn pages by doing so.

 

I personally would still do it, but I'm just letting you know so you can make an informed decision.

I can't see it being less than 5. The cover looks solid, but you never know unless you actually see the tears.

 

If you're planning resubing for blue or yellow anyway, you might as well crack it out and check out the torn pages. You may get lucky when you resub and end up with OW instead of CROW designation.

 

The seller described it: "a small piece was off upper right corner on pages 7,8,9,10,11 that barely touched into panel"

 

A side note, how is the tear on an odd number of pages? Each page should have two page numbers, and I'm sure it's more than 11 pages long.

Thanks! Says small tears on a few pages which makes it incomplete. the seller told me the tears were small but be it touches panel so cgc said they have to cite it incomplete and they thought a 9.0 GLOD would be better then a blue lower grade.

Just got my graded copy of TMNT #1. You can remove one of my raw copies (page 70) from the list and replace it with this one. I thought it was a 9.0, and it turned out to be a 9.2.

 

What am I not seeing? From just the front that looks like a very solid 9.4 to me.

Yes, it looks like a 9.4 from the picture, but I think beacause there's one small front cover ding when you hold a cover at a high angle which caused a color break (not by me of course), and maybe on the back bottom edge corner there is a slight color break (not from folding such as creases and maybe from rubbing). Still not bad I think.
