The top "5" Alex Schomburg covers in your opinion are???

49 posts in this topic

3 of them are in my sig line below (thumbs u

MM9

AS 1

Suspense 3

It's a toss up for the last 2 spots between All Select 2, Torch 8, Cap 33, and USA 7/10 for me....Although, I have mixed info if Schomburg only, Schomburg and Everett, or just Everett did the cover to the MM9...I think Gerber credits Schomburg, Overstreet both, CGC both...George Olshevsky credits Schomburg in the OPG #10....

Why. Must. You. Start. So. Many. Threads.

Here's an idea, when you see "dizzyfoxx" as the originator of a thread, move on to the next thread.

Marvel Mystery Comics #40, 44 & 46

Runners up...

Startling Comics #49

Should have made it "The top "50" Alex Schomburg covers in your opinion are???"

Thrilling 11 is my favorite Schomburg of all time... Mostly because of the same reasons. I love most of Alex's work, but his simpler work really gets me. Thrilling 11 is one of the simplest war covers I have seen of his. Ever since I saw the cover, I have been looking for a copy..

It is hard to go wrong with a Schomburg and while I have a lot of Schomburg covered books, two of my favorites are two on my wantlist (so not my pics below):

Terrific Comics #5

Thrilling Comics #38 (Maybe Jeff will post his spectacular copy of this issue)

That's a pretty spectacular copy you posted, but here's mine...

Yep, Jeff - that's the one, thanks for posting it - like I said, those scans weren't mine. I knew you had that copy. It is a tough one to find for sure. The nurse/WAC in bondage is similar to the Fighting Yank #8 (which I was able to pick up not too long ago) but this one is just so outrageous. My hunt continues.
