Just experimenting with one of my top 5 as this is the first time I've tried to post an image :)

Here's (crossed fingers) my first ever comic art acquisition and one of my top 5, the Marshall Rogers Daughters of the Dragon splash page from Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu:

Hmmm...that didn't work, any helpful hints as to how to post an image? Pretty please. I did look up the FAQ and thought I understood the instructions but obviously not! Best,

Royd

Picking just five pieces is not easy....I have a lot of love for almost everything I have chosen over the last 17-18 years.

Here's my shot at it. 6 pieces total ( I cheated) 5 published and one very important unpublished piece.

1) Dave Stevens from the Rocketeer

2) Neal Adams from Batman #243:

3)A really gorgeous Barry Windsor Smith Weapon X page:

4) A Ditko Dr. Strange page penciled and inked by Ditko with Strange, Dormammu, Clea and some really trippy use of Magic:

5) Romita Jr./Al Williamson Daredevil Man Without Fear #1 Cover Art.

IMHO the best cover of the run, by a superior match of penciller and inker, on a story written by Frank Miller. Iconic.

6) Finally, this is the commission that changed my collecting habits (probably permanently) and eventually gave me the introduction to my all time favorite artist that I now call a friend. It's unpublished but I seem to see this piece everywhere. It was in a bootleg Spanish Magazine, it's been on prints all over the place and word has it someone has a copy hanging in their office over at DC.

Joker's Trophy Wall by Brian Bolland

Love how Spider-Man jumps out on this piece.

I cheated and only chose 4. I just couldn't make up my mind between, Man Who Laughs cover, Mayhew Pulse Cover, Bill S. Halloween Cover, and Wolverine 55 Cover. Hopefully in the next year or so I'll pick up a piece that won't make me have to chose between those ones.
