I am glad this worked out and I really like the piece that he finally sent. :applause:

I noticed this comic in this week's HA auction and it reminded me of Sienkiewicz's first effort for some reason. The moustaches are just awesome. That scribble with what appear to be straws looked like some early work of his.

You think this book belonged to Sienkiewicz at one time hm

You better post some pictures of it when you have it in hand (not just a scan pls)

You can count on it.

I better? Not the demanding type are you? :baiting:

Package has been shipped by Bill. I have the FedEx tracking and it says it should be delivered on Monday the 17th. Once it arrives, I will scan it in and post higher quality pics.

That is all. :D

binary, read the post above.

Well, I opened up the package from Bill.

I have to admit I was a little nervous opening it. Once I pulled the piece out of the box, I was literally floored. I have to be completely honest with you guys and tell you that the scan he sent me does not come close to doing it justice. I am shocked. Completely and utterly shocked.

I really don't know what else to say about it right now as I am trying to let it register that this was created for me. Bill has earned my forgiveness and my lasting friendship.

The dimensions of the piece are 11" x 17". It is on Plate Bristol board.

Here is the letter that Bill had "attached" to the piece with the placement of the word balloon in bottom right located next to the decapitated head. It is a personal letter, but I feel it is relevant to the piece and shows that his sincerity is without question. I guess what I am trying to say is that Bill has gone above and beyond for me to show that he was indeed sorry for the past. That means alot to me.

I can't get my scanner to show how dark the piece really is. It is really shortchanging how freaking awesome it looks. I'm sorry guys....I wish my scans were better and you could see exactly what I am seeing.

Even my wife, who knows zip about comics, thinks that this is pretty cool. Believe me....that is high praise from her for something comic related. :)

Let's see how this looks using two scans together. Humor me.
