Oh well...I like it. :cloud9:

don't feel bad posting that gem; Bedrock doesn't even have one of those.

Really? Now that is a feat I should be proud of!

Nice book Roy!

Roy looks like your making a dent in the Marvel Mysterys (thumbs u

Yeah I am trying to put an early run together. I'm not a huge fan of Schomburg's later work so I am going to limit it to issue #30 or so.

thanks!

Roy, going through the "big" books, #51 as i recall, is also a possibility, and gets you all the great covers in the 40's ---zeppelin, bridge, super-plane, dam and the green worm.

in all seriousness, richard's collection of timelys is stunning... sure, there are MH copies in JVerzyl collection, but that was kind of a "all in one shot deal"... the amazing part of bedrock's run is that he has pieced together copies that are in INCREDIBLE condition, over time, and from his myriad of sources... no small feat at all (heck, it is tough enough to find low grade or restored copies)...

so, mr highgrade timely bedrock, let me dispense with the sarcasm and add my CONGRATUATIONS to your continued incredible collection

oh, and one of these for good measure:

I emulate Mr Bedrock's approach to buying HG issues and holding onto them over the long term.. He has indeed built one amazing collection of books, and, in 10 years, I hope to have a collection equally worth of such praise. (thumbs u

You're going to have to step up the pace at the rate that Mr B is going.

Congratulations, Richie, those are an incredible set of books to get back from CGC.

I agree there are some great covers....but I need to limit myself and the #2-30 run has enough variation between 3 heroes to keep it exciting. I also need to set a $$ limit.

here's what that non-pedigree, non-white pages p.o.s. COULD have looked like.

gorgeous books Ricky; i remember each and every one from their raw state. two i recognize lost at least 1/4 grade from my frenzied thumbing-up alone over the years. and i washed my hands first, unlike those uncouth northern geeks.

J did you get your copy yet? BTW, be careful what you call a turd around these parts...calling a Kirby cover MMC a turd might get you linched.

My copy did arrive, thanks. I only called it a "turd" in honor of your description of the book after you won it on c-link. :/ I personally don't belive it has any "turdish" qualities, and I love my copy.
