Ryan Renolds in the role of Hal Jordan and the SA Green Lantern won the People's Choice Award for Superhero's in a movie. The other nominees in the category were Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, James McAvoy as Professor X, and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. Interestingly no Batman or Spiderman.

That's great news. Doesn't surprise me, since he's much more well known.

I recently wallpapered my bathroom with some surplus Showcase #22s I picked up dirt cheap on eBay. Looks great!

 

That would go great with the stack of AF #15s I use for TP........... lol

What I found amazing was how a Showcase 22 CGC 4.0 sold for $1,225 by Sparkly City Comics on Ebay January 8th 2012. Ebay item 380399284659.

Either that was a real good deal or the market has begun to correct itself now that there is no big time movie to market it. ;)

btw this is not to pick on just Showcase 22, as if we look on Ebay a lot of the CGC silver and bronze age keys are going for significantly less than what they were going for a year ago. Movie hype is very powerful. It will be interesting to see what Avengers #1 and #4 go for a year from now. :)
