So I went to Target over the weekend, and stumbled on some awesome back to school supplies:

 

 

The back pack was on sale for a mere $7, and the folders were $1 a pop. I know I'll be the coolest girl on campus this fall!

A few of my teachers think its fabulous whenever I pull out comic related things to use in class. Thank goodness I'm a creative writing major, I suppose.

Those are actually pretty cool!

 

They look like the super-heroes I grew up with in the 1970's, not the distorted modern versions.

How times change. If you brought these to school now you would probably be considered cool but I remember when I went into Junior High ('77) and had a bunch of nice new folders with comic book covers on them and had to endure being call "The Fantastic " and getting my kicked for a few months until I learned how to fight back.

 

After 7th grade I don't think I admitted to anyone outside of a comic shop that I collected until I was well into my 20's.

When I was in elementary school back from 91-96, I got made fun of a lot for adoring comic books. Only after Spider-Man and other comic book movies came out did it suddenly become cool to have such items and not be made fun of.
