Pecking order of DC SA books

16 posts in this topic

I've been tracking some DC SA titles for a while and it seems Ebay auctions are very inconsistent. One auction of a nice JLA book might attract several bidders while a similar one attracts one.So I'm wondering if you could list your pecking order for these titles .Action,Adventure,Batman,Detetective,JLA,Brave and Bold,Spectre,Showcase,Superman,Superboy,DC horror,Wonder Woman,Green Lanten, Flash, any others.

If the books are mid-to-hi grade,non-keys, which would you pursue in what order?

Mine would be: JLA,Adventures (with the Legion),GL,Flash,

with the Superman/Action and Wonder Woman issues bringing up the rear.Yours?

MOST DESIRED (IN ORDER)

1. JLA

2. B&B (JLA appearances in 28-30)

3. Mystery In Space 75 (ties in to JLA 3)

I enjoyed most of the other titles you noted and collected all of them except Spectre, Showcase and DC horror originally. But I doubt that I would try to put mid to hg runs together for any other titles then what I noted now. gossip.gif

I loved those stories! Had totally forgotten about them, I read them in reprints when I was a kid. Now I'm going to have to go find some reader copies!

80 Page Giants (All)

House of Mystery (pre and post Horror)

House of Secrets (pre and post Horror)

4) star spangled war dinosaur issues

Since a couple of guys mentioned this, I thought I'd point out that "The War That Time Forgot" makes a surprise re-appearance with the Losers in the 1st issue of Darwyn Cooke's "DC:The New Frontier" (on sale yesterday).
