I got VD.... comics

I wanted to share one of my comic collecting niches: comics that deal with vd and std. They both deal with syphilis.

 

 

 

If anybody has others please show them.

Two military booklets in comic format to educate servicemen about VD. Ones from the 40s, ones from the 60s or 70s. Some pretty explicit info...

1945 book by a doctor about syphilis. More in Big Little Book format than a comic, with each facing page having a full page illo. Some nice cartoons, although the images of the little spirochetes burrowing into tissues can be a little disturbing.

Here is another VD comic I just got. It also deals with syphilis. The other stds out there are getting shafted by not getting their own comic.

I have been looking for doc Carter for years. One came up on eBay recently and went for more than my bid- I think well over $200, maybe higher.

I didn't keep scans, but a couple years ago I had some 60's/70's vintage standard sized comics from the state/city of New York, concerning how to protect yourself from, and get treatment for STD's. Hippie days vintage. I'm sure there are more out there...
